Carry on Dancing
I shouldn't have gone out here by myself, but the NightIsland had me.
Darren and I have always loved Anne Rice. After all, didn't Darren take the name Savage Garden from the books. My favorite characters are Daniel Malloy and Armand. The owners of the NightIsland.
They say that once you enter the island that you never leave it. That you become food for some vampire or you leave the island with the Dark Gift.
Why I went I don't know.
Something about the island was calling me. Something was reaching out for me.
I told Darren that I was going to spend the night at my girlfriend's house, but I don't have a girlfriend. I never have had one and I never want one.
'Daniel' the wind was saying, but which Daniel was it calling for?
The ferrie has stoped. The time has come. I'm here. The peace of everything was amasing.
For the first time in my life I felt home. Like I belonged.
'Daniel'
I'm here. I'm coming. There was music playing softly. My music.

Thirst. I wanted the blood. More. Please. He was giving it.

Life leaving my body.
Someone picking me up. Lifting me unto the bed.

It was only mortal death. I would make it through.
