Yayyy
were moving here! little Jill Jones asked her parents as she looked up at the
seventeenth century home that loomed above her. Yep,
her father Daniel said as he picked her up. The Jones family had been planning their
move for quite sometime now. They had house hunted for months, only to find nothing
that suited them. This was only until one day about two months ago. Their
relater had called them raving about this magnificent home. After touring the
home they decided it would be perfect for their family. Although the children
knew they were moving, they did not know where. Their parents wanted to keep it
a surprise until the day they moved in. This
place is so cool dad. Jill exclaimed as she jumped from her fathers grip. She
opened the small wrought-iron gate that separated them from their property.
Can we go inside now and see Daz? Yep
thats where were headed. The
two walked up the hill toward their new home hand in hand. They admired the
large three-story home as they did so. So dad which floor is my room on? Jill
asked, her green eyes sparkling. On
the second floor. They then walked up the stairs of the stone porch. Daniel
took hold of a brass doorknob, and opened one of the double front doors as they
stepped inside they were greeted with an amazing site. A black and red oriental
rug was placed in the middle of the large foyer. The floors were made of black
and gray marble. The pillars were made of the same. The walls were made of dark
gray stone. The foyer was in a circular shape, with three doorways leading from
it. To the left were two of them, and to the right was the other. In the middle
of that there was a circular staircase: which was made of the same marble. The
same oriental carpeting covered the middle of the stairs. The staircase was
accompanied by black rod iron railing. WOW! I love this place, Jill yelled,
running around the foyer. Unknown to her there was a figure coming from
one of the doorways. As she ran the figure came closer and grabbed her from
behind. AHHHHHHH she screamed as she was forced
to face the figure. DAZ you scared me, she said wrapping her
arms around him. Sorry sweetie didn't mean it, he said
kissing her on the cheek. So do you like it so far? he asked still holding
her. I love it she smiled up at him. He led
her into the door way on the left closest to the stairs, Dan fallowing close
behind. Whats
in here? Its
the kitchen, Dan informed her as the walked in. The floor was of the same
type. The cabinets were a deep cherry, and the counter tops were made of dark
gray marble. In the back of the kitchen were two class doors leading out to a
stone patio. The kitchen table sat in the middle of the room. It was made of
black iron, and covered by a class top. Do you have anything cooked? Dan asked
Darren as he came into the kitchen. Yes,
Daniel, nice to see you too, He said sarcastically. Aww
Im sorry; I love you Dan said as he hugged Darren from behind. Ewww
stop, thats ickier! Jill giggled. They
then sat down to lunch. Hey wheres Blake? Jill asked referring to her nine
month old brother. I
put him down for a nap, Darren informed her. So did you get her room finished this morning
baby? Dan asked Darren. Of
course I did, and it looks great. MY
ROOM? Yep
your room, I finished it today, Darren said as he cleared the dishes. Well,
can we go see it now please please please??? YES,
if you calm down a little. Darren snapped while rinsing the dishes. Umm,
okay Im sorry Jill said, sniffling. Im
sorry, Hon, Im just feeling a bit tired. Its
ok, she said still a bit shaken up. Her Daz hardly ever yelled at her. Okay,
well, how bout we go see your new room? Dan said trying to lighten the mood. The three of them climbed the rounded
staircase, and turned to the left. A long hall way greeted them. The floor was
made of a dark hard wood, along with the doors that lined the hall. The passed
three doors to their left, which Darren pointed out as a closet a bathroom, and
finally her room. She
pushed open the large wooden door to find a room of pure elegance. A mint green
rug was placed in the middle of the floor, taking up most of it. Only the edges
of the hard wood floor could be seen. A white double bed sat against the wall
in the middle of the room. The two large windows were covered in mint green
drapes lined with white lace. A toy box was on one side of the bed and a small
night table was on the other. There were many plush stuffed toys sitting in
about the room. Well,
do you like it? Darren asked as his daughter looked around. YES,
I LOVE IT! she shrieked happily as she kissed her parents. They smiled proudly
as they watched their little girl twirl around her new room. As they left to
let her explore a feeling of happiness overcame them. This would truly be a
place of true happiness for their family. tbc |
