| Man strives� by Anon It was two years since Khin Wee and I had lost touch of each other. It was the usual story: too busy, life taking over. I was concerned that I had somehow lost a very close friend. Then on my last trip home, we met up. It wasn't long before the old repartee surfaced. I told Wee how concerned I was. Only to have him say, "Never for a moment did I doubt we will get back together again. We are not mere friends�" Later that day, I was clearing out a drawer in my study, when I came across a wooden plaque, inscribed with the following words. I turned it over, only to find that written on the back, "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. 1985. Chen Khin Wee" |
