(The scene opens inside a steel cage. A ladder leans against one side of the cage with a blue velvet bag laid at the bottom of it. Nick Phalon stands in th centre of the ring dressed in a ULW t-shirt and a pair of jeans. In front of him stands Nathan Creed, wearing a 'Total Domination' t-shirt and black jeans, looking around the cage getting a feel for it. Nick has a camera crew set up as well and brings the mic up to his lips)

Nick: "I am here today to bring you an interview with a man that is going into a match that will settle a bitter feud between two former friends. The match is two out of three falls. It is to be held at War of the World's, and his opponent is his former friend Orlando Cruze. The man I am speaking to is none other than Nathan Creed"

(Nathan is still staring around the cage. Nick looks over to Nathan)

Nick: "Nathan, this week you are going to be put in a brutal array of matches to sort out tis bitter rivalry. What thoughts are going through your head at this moment in time?"

(Nathan doesn't flinch. Nick coughs to try and get Nathan's attention, but to no avail. Nick coughs again and Nathan glances back at Nick)

Nathan: "Nick, the thought's running through my head are simple enough. I seek to beat Cruze. To show him once and for all that he isn't as good as his egotistically steroid pushing brain likes to believe. He think's that I did all this for one reason and one reason only. Oh no. He couldn't be further from the truth. I have plenty of reasons for wanting to beat him back to the rehab clinic, but only one reason is truly needed. It may well be old news to everybody, but it still sits deep in my root of hatred for him. Mistake or not he cost me the World Championship, and the sooner he is out of the way the sooner I can get back on track to reclaiming my crown, as it were"

Nick: "You mentioned about some sort of drug problem Cruze has. Is there any truth behind that?"

Nathan: "Truth? You mean is there a hint of a lie? Well not anymore. He was a pill popping freak, but he cleaned up his act since then. He kept a lid on it though else some of the fans would have turned on him. Is thisthe kind of person the fan's want to see as World Champion? The kind of man that would take pills to give him 'the edge' but then when he decides enough is enough he doesn't even have the deceny to admit he was wrong in the first place. That is neither here nor there however. The fact remains tht I am going into this match to beat the living hell out of him through all three falls. If need be I will damn near hand him the second fall just to allow the match to go onto a third"

Nick: "And what about the stipulation for each fall? I mean individually they are vicious, collectively they are hell personified. How do you go about fighting through this kind of match?"

Nathan: "Other than mental preperation you don't. You can't forsee where you stand after the first fall. You don't know how much strength you will have left, or how much blood you will have lost, but if Cruze thinks that I will be giving up after the first fall he is sorely mistaken. Nuclear Warfare showed how much I can tolerate. I went through the cell roof and still managed to lock in the Courtesy Call for a while before others got in the way. Cruze says that I didn't have the balls to carry on the fight then. If that is so then why am I here now? Why am I here waiting to take everything Cruze can give and give him back twice as much? Why am the one willing to put it all on the line and drag it out to a third fall simply for the satisfaction of saying that I beat Cruze three out of three falls? Answer me that Cruze"

Nick: "What about the first fall? It is something that is rarely seen in the US. It is a falling thumbtacks match. What are your thoughts about that?"

Nathan: "The first fall. Cruze's first step to defeat and humiliation. A match where we beat the living crap out of each other and thumbtacks fall on us. As Cruze put it, imagine what it feels like t be DDT'd and standing up with a hundred thumbtacks stuck into your skull. It is going to be pretty brutal, but not as brutal as I could make it. I want Cruze to be able to fight in the second fall. The first fall involves a show of technical abilities. How well you can use what you have to cause the most amount of pain"

(Nathan wanders over to the velvet bag and picks it up. He reaches inside and pulls out a handfull of something. He keeps his fist closed while he speaks)

Nathan: "Now I have never been the most innovative person when it comes to weapons, but I think that I canthink of a few interesting thingf to use these for"

(Nathan opens his hand to reveal a fistfull of tacks, some sticking into his flesh)

Nathan: "A DDT would only be the start, imagine a geman suplex or a bulldog. Even a simple drop toe hold causes much more pain than usual. The secnd fall is where things really start to get interesting"

(Nathan drops the taks on the mat and walks over and pats the ladder)

Nathan: "I have seen plenty of ladder matches in my few years in the business, but I have been in very few. This in itself isn't that unusual, but under these circumstances it could prove costly. This is where Cruze could take the advantage, having been in a ladder match more recently than me. Also Cruze has that uncanny high flyer feel to his technique. He doesn't mind springing around the ring like a superhero, but I do. I will occasionally use my body as a weapon and throw it at people in the literal sense but nothing like Cruze does. At the ame time though he takes more risk's than I do. He will throw himself at me from the top of the ladder, but what happens if I move at the right moment? Then he is left with nowhere to go and only can watch as I snatch victory from his grip. As Cruze said the ladder itself can be used as a weapon. It can be used to pummel your opponent into the floor, or to gain that extra leverage for the high risk move. It is a weapon that I have yet to work out how to use efectively, but I am a quick learner and Cruze will be in trouble if I manage to figure it out in time"

Nick: "And what about the third, and possibly final, fall? The steel cage?"

(Nathan smiles. He starts to stalk around the cage, with Nick still standing in the middle)

Nathan: "What can I say about this cage, the confined area in which I have laid to rest so many people. My career hasn't been a long one but I still think that I have gone a long way in showing who I am. One of those way's was my record within the steel confines. I am only at two losses within a cage. Out of god knows how many that is next to nothing. This is where I regain my advantage, and where I pick up my final win. The amount of pain I go through in all of these matches is irrelevant. I could be carried out on a stretcher by the final fall, but I will do so as victor. Arrogance isn't something I usually possess, that is all for Cruze, but this time I think a little arrogance is in order"

Nick: "Why is that?"

(Nathan stops and walks over to Nick. He gets right in his face before explaining)

Nathan: "Why? It was me that bloodied Cruze the first time. It was me that attacked him in the office of our GM. It was me that cost him his place in the gauntlet. Don't forget that his attack on me on the same night on bloddied me up a little. I still came out and I still fought for my spot, and to think Cruze talks about me not having what it takes to win"

(Nathan turns to the camera)

Nathan: "I am holding all the cards now Cruze, and all these mind game's you talk about have worked. I am no expert, but none the less I still beat you on that account. You fell victim to assault after assault, and you only retaliated twice to no decernable effect. I still stand here with a clear mind and a burning desire to exact revenge upon you. You failed then and you will fail again at the PPV"

(Nick interupts Nathan, gaining him a cold galnce from Nathan)

Nick: "What about Zak? What about his actions and him declaring to help you?"

Nathan: "It is as I told him. I don't need his help, or anybody else's. I never asked for it, I simply told Zak that he was better than Cruze would let him believe. I never told that kid to take his new found belt and drive it between Cruze's pumped up eyeballs. That was his decision, mine was to let Cruze know that I don't need some kid to do my dirty work. If Zak attacked Cruze then tat is his problem, not mine. Cruze had better not blame me for his own mess. He made Zak do that to him, not me. I offered words of encouragement, he took them the wrong way. I have nothing more to say, so as of now this interview is over"

(Nathan walks over to the corner of the cage and sits on the turnbuckle, taking in the structure in it's awesomeness as Nicks closes up)

Nick: "Well that is it for now. Nathan Creed seemingly ready for the match of the month possibly. Former friends go toe to toe and who will win? It is hard to call. Tw out of Three falls will decide. This is Nick Phalon reporting for ULW News"
