World Heavyweight Title match

1/1/1
Win/Draw/Loss Record:
(The scene opens with a flourish and appears to be backstage at an ULW house showing of some description. A few top ULW superstars are walking about, even a few of the inactive roster members. One of the roster members strides through the arena, a purpose written on his face. This man named Nathan Creed. He is still wearing his street clothes, a long sleeved purple shirt and a pair of blue denim jeans. He also wears a denim jacket over the top and a baseball cap covers his short brown hair. He walks straight to one of the small cramped locker rooms filled with ULW roster members. Several just stop and stare as Nathan walks in, others look him up and down with what can only be described as envy on their face. One man steps forward to Nathan, an old friend in fact. The man is the Livewire Title contender, Psycho. He stands there wearing a black t-shirt with 'Once a Psycho, Always a Psycho' written in red lettering on the front, and a pair of black jeans. He has a grin on his face as Nathan stands in front of him, looking up at him. Nathan's face is set in stone, unmoving expression of focus. Psycho stands there grinning like a cheshire cat and then opens his mouth to speak, but Nathan cuts him off)

Nathan: "If you are gonna give me any flak then I suggest you do it now while I am in a good mood Psycho. I ain't here to take any shit from you"

(Psycho doesn't flinch, but the grin does disappear from his face. He looks straight into Nathan's eye's, neither man backing down)

Psycho: "It simple Nathan. All I wanna do is wish you good luck against Sean. You got a huge match on your hands, you get your shot at the Wolrd Title. I had mine in UCWF and I took it and won. Now its your turn, and I think you can do it. Good luck Nathan"

(Psycho steps back slightly and offers his hand to Nathan. Nathan pauses for a moment, but takes it in a firm handshake. A smile then crosses both men's faces as the locker room sighs a sigh of relief. Nathan goes over to the back of the crowded locker room, trying to get to his stuff, getting good luck wishes from almost everyone in the room. Nathan finally gets to his stuff and starts to get changed into his wrestling gear. As he does so a small man enters the room, wearing an ULW t-shirt, obviously not a wrestler as the t-shirt hangs very baggily around his rather small frame. He stumbles around the locker room in a lost way before Psycho grins at him and points him Nathan's way. As the man makes his way to the back it seems obvious that it is Nick Phalon, former UCWF reporter, now working for ULW on the same job. He stand next to Nathan and brushes down his worn khaki combat trousers while adjusting his black satchel at the same time. Nathan doesn't even need to look up, he can tell who it is by the worn out old trainers that Nick always seems to wear)

Nathan: "Hey Nick. Hows things? Your here for a few words I guess. You wanna hear about what I think about this World Title match with Sean Johnson. Give me a few minutes and I will be all yours"

Nick: "Ok Nathan. I'll wait by the refreshments table if you need me"

(Almost as soon as Nick arrives he leaves. He makes his way through the westling stars and out of the locker room. Nathan carries on getting changed ready for his house show match. He puts his blue trousers on and then he starts to lace up his black boots. He looks around the locker room, things seeming strangely quiet. He notices that half of the locker room have disappeared, the other half are sill getting changed. Nathan slips on his elbow pads and tapes his wrists. He finishes up and throws the tpe back in his locker. He gets up and walks out of the locker room. He makes his way over to the refreshment table and the waiting Nick Phalon. Nick is standing there eating his way through the best part of a sandwich as Nathan taps him on the shoulder. Nick finishes his mouthfull and puts the sandwich down)

Nathan: "So you want to ask me some questions?"

Nick: "Yeah...erm...I just wanted to know what exactly this match means to you? I know that you have been in World Title matches before, but never one of this size. What exactly is going though your head at this moment in time?"

Nathan: "Right now I am still slightly in shock. One minute I am ready for a shot at Magnum and the World Title, next I am told Magnum has been forced to drop the title for some reason and that me and Sean are now fighting for the vacant title. To be honest it is a great honour to be told that I am in this match, and a great opportunity in my career. I have never truly held a World Title, but now I get that chance. Even better is that I get that chance against the man I so nearly beat last time we went toe to toe in singles competition. This time however it will be different. My head is telling me that this is a grand opportunity, but at the same time it is telling me I am not ready for something like this. I guess that could be put down to nerves. Suffice to say that this match means the world to me, and obviously I would love nothing more than to walk into FUF as Nathan Creed, and walk out as the new World Heavyweight Champion. Then I go onto Nuclear Warfare to face Hellkat for my shot at becoming the single greatest champion in this business. As you can see there is a lot of pressure surrounding this match, and I get the feeling that even Sean is feeling it. You simply cannot expect a match of this magnitude to be easily prepared for, let alone won"

Nick: "What about the champion, well I guess former champion now, Magnum? What do you expct will happen if and when he decides to return, as the rumour is he has injured himself in training. Some sort of serious muscle tear I believe"

Nathan: "Muscle tear you say? Well believe it or not I wish him the speediest of recoveries. It is simply a sign that I want to show everybody that if I do win the title that I deserve it. So if Magnum comes back and wants his title shot then I will grant it to him. Although to be honest I doubt that will be for a while yet, and in the mean time I wil give at least two deserving people a shot if I manage to hang onto the title after Nuclear Warfare. The first being my good friend, and most recently my tag team partner, Orlando Cruze. That is of course once he gets back from injury. The other worthy oponent is the more controversial choice of Celestra. She came within a hair's whisker of winning it the first time round, much like Orlando. Seeing as both of these actually earned their title shots, unlike Magnum who needed to cheat to win, then I don't see why I shouldn't give them what they deserve. I am getting ahead of myself now though. I ain't even close to winning the World Heavyweight championship yet"

Nick: "If you think Magnum cheated his way into a title then why would you be willing to give him a chance at regaining it?"

Nathan: "Proof to the world that I deserve it, but as I said that is in a future possibilty, not a definite"

Nick: "Ok, and what about Sean? You and him have had a few encounters over the past few weeks. It seemed to explode at the PPV when he charged out to try and stop you from even entering the battle royale. Now it was eventually you that eliminated him fron the battle royale, closely following him after Celestra threw you over the tp rope. The assault didn't stop there, and it was part of the reason that Magnum won the match. Does this all figure into your state of mind going up against him again?"

Nathan: "In a way it does, but at the same time there are far more important thing that figure. For example, the first time we faced each other was in that tag team match up on Annihilation. Sean held me down while Hunter got the pin on Phantom, then he showed me a great deal of respect. The next week we went at it for his title, with me proving that although I was on top form he just managed to outlast the time limit. In effect he won by default. The the PPV rolls around and the feelings from that title match didn't go away. I felt like I should have won, and obviously Sean saw me as a real threat. In the end it was me the prevailed and eliminated him only to join him seconds later. Then the next week, myself and Orlando team up to take him and Celestra on. I don't know if you saw it but Sean was scared of me. He had a chance to get in that ring with me and show me he is able to beat me, but he declined. Then what did he do? He tried to nail me with the Titanic Kick, but I moved and he nailed Celestra. Sean Johnson doesn't have what it takes does he? He is scared of me, and he proved it Friday when he practically refused to fight me. Now he has an opportunity to lay his demons to rest by stepping up to me again and trying to wrestle his way to a World Heavyweight title. The only problem being that he doesn't want to be fcing me. He is running scared because I might actually beat him and be crowned the new champion. Still I welcome him to actually face me, mano a mano, man to man. He might prove himself to have some balls after all, but I have seen stranger things happen"

Nick: "Hang on...you think that Sean Johnson is scared of you? What do you mean? Scared to face you? Scared of you abilities? Or do you think he simply finds you intimidating?"

Nathan: "Yes Nick. I think Sean Johnson is scared of me. I think that he realises he can't beat me, and so he doesn't want to face me and suffer the humiliation of losing to me. Well he has a simle choice really. Either turn up on Friday and face me, with the distinct possibility of getting his arse handed to him, or don't turn up and watch as I get handed the World Heavyweight championship. Either way the result may well be the same as I walk out with the title. I would prefer it if he turned up for the match though, simply so I can prove to him once and for all that I am better than him. I will prove that on Friday whether he likes it or not. To be honest if he doesn't then he had better get ready, simpy because I will throw everything I have at him and he will suffer something very humiliating"

(Nathan turns to leave but Nick stops him short with a blunt question)

Nick: "Which is?"

(Nathan grins to himself. He rubs his chin with his right hand)

Nathan: "Total Domination, courtesy of Nathan Creed"

(Nick stand there, a moment of realisation dawning on him. Nathan turns and walks away. He walks through the arena, waiting for his match to be called so he can display his talents to the world in preperation for his big chance. The scene fades to black as Nathan turns a corner)
