Sean Johnson
Opponent:
An Opportunity #1RP
RP Name:
Internation Title - Singles Match
Match Type:
1/0
Win/Loss Record:
(The scene opens in a pitch black arena. The only reason you can tell that it is an arena is because of the illuminated ring. A light shines down upon it lighting up the centre and giving the ropes and turnbuckles a glow. Into the ring steps and man with short brown hair, wearing a black shirt and a pair of faded blue jeans. He keeps his head down until he reaches the centre of the ring. Then he lifts his head and reveals his face. the face of the contender for the Internation Title. The face of Nathan Creed. He smiles, revealing a few gaps in his teeth, but none the less lets his confidence ooze through)

Nathan: "So this past week I lost a tag team match againt Hunter and Sean Johnson, partly due to Phntom, but in the end the result stayed the same. A loss on my record, but even so technically I am unbeaten at this moment in time. If Hunter had pinned me then I would have accepted the loss, but the fact is that it was Phantom who got pinned. Now I also got a phone call earlier about my match this week. Imagine my surprise when I found out I was to be in a match aginst the only man who showed me any respect in that match, Sean Johnson. Imagine my further shock when I found out it was also for Johnson's Internation Title"

(Nathan rubs his chin and laughs to himself quietly)

Nathan: "My opponent is a man that I respect, because he has shown me respect. I respect any man that realises that I am not just someone trying to be the best regardless of my oponent. I am a man who give's it his all to show the world what I am capable of. I think Sean realised this, and for that I respect him. In saying that though I must admit that come this Saturday there will be no room for respect, especially when the title is on the line. I mean no disrespect when I say this but this Saturday I will view you only as someone standing in my way. I don't care of your accomplishments and your friends. It doesn't matter inside the ring. Inside the ring the only thing that mtters is your skill"

(Nathan looks down at his hands, that are faced palm upwards towards Nathan. He turns them over and looks at the back of them for a second befoe continuing)

Nathan: "Sean these hands have made men bleed. They have cost men titles. They have made men submit, and they have even caused injuries. This probably isn't anything you can't claim to have done, but the difference is that I have done it better. Before you start going on about the size of my ego you have to remember one thing. My ego is what drives me more than anything. It is the thing that makes me realise that I can do anything I put my mind to. I have a lot of talent within these hands. They allow me to reach higher goals than you realise. They can unleash a torrent of devastating moves upon you, or they can help out to your feet when all is over"

(Nathan smiles to himself, looking down slightly. He looks back up at the camera)

Nathan: "Sean, you have to realise that I am a threat to you. Your claim that I am below average will be proved wrong. To be honest it is what I do best. I like to prove people wrong, and I enjoy doing so. Besides which you have alredy handed me the advantage. You gave it to me when you didn't see me as anymore than a lesser simply because of the title strapped around your waist. Actually I have to wonder what the title also does to you. Does it cloud your judgement?"

(Nathan rubs his hand across his chin, his eye's fixed on the mt for a second. He look bck up at the camera and moves his hand across his chest, crossing his arms)

Nathan: "Will it cloud yourjudgemet when it comes to choosing between your title and your friends? Do you seriously think that Sheryl will let you walk away from the new High Rollers and keep the title? I doubt it. However, if you do decide to stick with your friends then I can help you with one problem. I can stop Sheryl screwing you out of the title. I can win it from you, fair and square. This way you cn accept the ignomy of defeat and still keep your friends, but I don't want to make this decision for you. That is why I am here to be honest"

(Nathan uncrosses his right arm and motion around at the ring itself, still clouded by darkness outside of the ropes. He crosses his arm again as he speaks)

Nathan: "You see this ring actually represents something. No, not a run down building that couldn't quite pay its electricity bill. What it actually represents is all these decisions you have to make. You see your desicions have many ways of turning out for the worse, but the dwindling light is your right choice. You may be wondering what choices do you really have to make. Simple really Sean. Do you abanon your friends and join the High Rollers, or do you stay with your friends and risk the wrath of Sheryl Marie-Gray? Do you show me respect again by giving it your all and seeing who truly is the better of us two, or do you win by any, and all, means nessecary?"

(Nathan looks down and places his thumb and forefinger on his chin, looking like he is thinking. Suddenly he snaps his fingers and looks back at the camera)

Natha: "WAIT! I know what I can help you with. A very important thing you need to decide on. Where in the hell are you gonna lay your Internation Title come Sunday morning? Well I will sort tht problem out for you. I will get rid of the question for you by beating you for your title. Let me guess though. You don't think I can because I am 'below average' aren't I?"

(Nathan quotes 'below average' with his fingers on both hands, uncrossing his arms as he does so. He shkes his head at his own comment. He walks closer to the camera)

Nathan: "Sean, you believe I am below average, and that you are above average. There is nothing average about either of us. In fact it is more than likely that we are both evenly matched going into this. It will all come dwon to a few basic mistakes Sean. Whether they are yours or mine I don't know. I never claimed to be psychic. The fact remains however that only one of us can walk away with the title, and I plan on it to be me. Nobody can change those plans. Not even Hunter"

(Upon mentioning Hunter name Nathan looks down, a look of disgust crossing his face. He clenches his teeth and his fists. He doesn't even lift his head to speak)

Nathan: "Hunter. The disresectful, self centre,no good son of a bitch. He disrespected me, my girlfriend and expected to get away with it. Well Hunter I got news for you. This merely the begining Hunter. You have crossed the wrong guy. You think that you pinning Phantom means anything to me? You would be wrong. You didn't beat me, you beat him. You proved that you are nothing more then a hyped up little btich who need's a good slap to realise what he has done. You disregard all the mental and physical anguish I went through with Derek Steel as nothing. Why don't you drag your sorry arse over to FUF one night, and assuming Derek doesn't nail you on the spot, ask him what he did to me? He will tell you what he did, and probably what I did in return. Granted I never beat him one on one, but I got my fair share of shots. Enough about him though Hunter, and enough about you"

(Nathan breathes out heavily, almost sighing, as he composes himself. Eventually he looks back at the camera)

Nathan: "Sean, you have to be at your best this week. You aren't facing just anybody. You are facing Nathan Creed, and this will be a match to remember regardless of the end result. I just hope your up for it. Your title reign is coming to an abrupt end Sean. No offence, but this is just your Courtesy Call"

(Nathan smiles to hmself, letting out a slight laugh as he turns and walks away. He clims through the middle rope onto the apron. He looks back for a second, darkened by the arena, and smiles, before jumping down and disappearing completely from sight as the light in the ring turns off wth a loud click, as spotlight powers down. The scene ends there)
