OUR STORY |

Once apon a time on a land far far away, I was living in Australia, as I had done for most of my life. I did spend 7 years living in New Zealand, and still occasionally the kiwi accent comes through. After spending 7 years as a technician at the local electronics store, I spent the next 2 years in semi retirement. I tried many different jobs, and always ended up home again hanging out with my mates. |

Most of our free time was spent working on our cars, driving them and partying. What a living! Then a friend who had moved out of town hooked me up with ICQ so we could still keep in touch. Untill then, we had mostly used the 3 computers in the house to play games against each other, and I had considered chat lines and such to be a cheesy way to meet people. I felt I had enough friends to be happy so when I got into Frogges chat I was mainly just curious to see what all the hype was about. |

So when I saw a couple of girls in a heated argument I had to find out why. Shellie was being verbally assaulted, so I felt the need to step in. We suddenly hit it off, which was a good thing, cause 5 minutes after we started talking, the chat room closed. Since we had each other in our friends list already, we were able to continue the conversation. There was definately some chemistry there!! |

It was a matter of days before I had proposed to Shellie. There was only one problem, we lived on opposite sides of the world. As I had recently come to realise that my material possesions were not all that important to me, it was no big deal selling them to buy myself a plane ticket to the states. Leaving my friends was whole different thing, but it was my close friends that really gave me the strength to give it a try. I felt that I had to meet Shellie to see if we were really as compatible as we seemed. If it didnt work out, I could always return to all my friends and I knew they would be there for me. |

It turned out Shellie and I really were in love, and got married as soon as we could. Shellies 3 kids and I got along really well and I am proud to be their new Dad. While waiting for my work permission from immigration, I filled in as Mr Mom while Shellie worked. I kept the housework done and had Katelynn during the day with me while Ashley and Caleb were at school. Its been 2 years and I am working while Shellie has resumed her motherly role.
