Jack opened by saying that Charemed had important news about their band, and quickly left the word to Elisa.
Nic and Elisa looked a bit tired, but also exited in a strange way.
"Ok, I`m just gonna say it. And then you can start asking questions.......We...thats Nicole and I,....have decided after a lot of thoughts that we are gonna call this quits. This is final. We are breaking up....." It was a lot of mumbling in the room. Cameras clicking and reporters talking in eachothers mouths.
"DARREN! LEONIE! YOU BETTER GET IN HERE!!" Daniel shouted from the top of his loungs. Darren and Leonie came running. "What?" Dan pointed to the tv screen, where the mumbling settled and Elisa continued "......after our last concert on friday,.......Charmed are no more!"
"What?" Darren was surprised. "Shhh......"Leo and Dan were almost sitting on top of the tv. Darren turned up the volume a bit. The questions shot against Elisa and Nicole.
*Why?*
*Who?*
*Is it because of the breakdown?*
*Is it because of quarrel in the group?*
Elisa tried to answer as calm as she possible could.
"Why? I`m tired....we both are. And have come to realize that I`m not cut out for this kind of stress. Mostly based on my personal life. I`m not the kind of person that can maintain a personal life, when I`m constantly in the focus. Nic have to answer for herself. No, it`s not entirely because of the breakdown, but it had something to do with my desition." She looked at Nic, who started to talk.
"As for me...I feel ready to start on a blank page,....ahh...this has been a enjoyable ride though...and I`m happy we got the chance. No, it`s not quarrel inside the group. We`re still the best of friends!"
The reporters started to line up to ask questions.
*"Elisa? You said you based on personal reasons. What kind?"*
Elisa thought for a minute. "Right before we started our tour last year. I were in a relationship. But the more I was away, the more we drifted apart. And I miss the kind of happiness and security I had back then. So in order to find the same thing....I chose to draw back from the focus of the press."
*"What was the reason for the breakup?"*
"As I said, we had to be away from eachother a lot....." the reporter started to interrupt, but Elisa continued. "....look.....relationships are hard. You have to work on it, in order to make it last. When you add the factor of being a popstar into it, it`s even harder,.....if not impossible."
*"We have the information that Darren Hayes was with you in the hospital. Are there any relationship between you two?"*
"Yes" Darren`s heart jumped. "We are very good friends." and sunk again.
*"Was he at any time, your lover?"*
"No comment"
*"Are you currently in a relationship?"*
"No"
*"Then why do you say that it is your reason to want out?"
"Cause I want to feel free to at least have the opportunity to make one work!"
*"So you do have someone in mind?"*
"Yes"
Darren looked surprised at Dan. "Dan? Who is she talking about?"
"Shhh......" was the reply.
*" Can you tell us who this person is?"*
Elisa laughed "God, this is absurd..." she thought, but answered.
"He is the one. The one that was meant for me!" she smiled brightly to the reporters.
Darren started to get sad. "She`s forgotten all about me" he thought and started to leave the room. Leonie held him back. "I got the feeling that you should hear this." she said. Darren raised his eyebrows. "Huh....Leo and her feelings!" he thought, but stayed.
*"Did he ask you to quit?"
Nicole answered, as Elisa was drinking water.
"Ahh....actually he doesn`t know that we are quitting. I don`t think he even knows that Elisa is still in love with him!"
The press started to mumble again. Nic blinked and laughed to Elisa who mimed the words;" I`ll get you for this!" And turned to the press.
"Ahh....as Nic here said. He doesn`t know. I left him. And we haven`t got the chance to talk about it, and while I was always on the road....I didn`t see the point eighter. However...I have made this desition becaause I can`t forget about him. I just hope he`ll find it in his heart to forgive me. He`s the most important thing in my life."
And with this she finished.
Nicole rapped up by informing on the concert cd they would release, and the fact that she had a new job as a musician waiting. And they left the room.
Daniel giggled, and Leonie smiled from ear to ear.
"May I ask what`s so amusing?" Darren was slightly pissed.
Daniel looked at him with mock astonishment. "Darren? Where exactly did you get lost?"
"Huh...?"
"She was talking about you!"
"NO....?"
"YES!!" Daniel and Leonie said in unison.
It was early sunday morning when Elisa landed in San Fransisco. She was nervous. The press weren`t there. "Good, we succeded in fooling them!" she thought, and called for a taxi. Half an hour later it stopped in front of Darren`s house. Elisa got out and tried to work up the nerves before she walked up to his door. "What if he won`t take me back. I have probably hurted him enough! Oh well....I guess I have to find out now!" She started to walk up to his house, but stopped halfway.
There he was. Standing infront of her. She could almost touch him. She couldn`t speak. She just stared at him, hoping to get the answers from his eyes.
He looked tired. Unshaved and tired, but still the most handsome man she had ever seen.
"You came?!" His voice startled her. So full of emotions.
"How could I stay away?" Her voice cracked.
Darren`s arms suddenly grabbed her, and he pulled her close to him. He held her hard, afraid she would disappear if he let go. He felt tears running down his face.
"I missed you....I missed you so much!" Elisa closed her eyes and smelled the sweet scent of Darren, that made her feel so safe. And her tears were running down his neck.
"Don`t you ever leave me again!" Darren looked her in the eyes. She shook her head.
"I`m home now Darren. I`m home....." He kissed her. "I love you" he whispered. He lifted her up and carried her inside.
