--the realm of
                   fantasy--
the magic of fantasy envelopes and bewitches. its hold
on u gets stronger as u sink more deeply into it. and
u can't find a way out. its mark on u is permanent,
no matter if the magic is black or white.

i am an avid fan of fantasy novels. this is
something that has enchanted me since
eight, even before wonbin or any other
celebrity. my fascination had rooted from
the fact that fantasy made the impossible
seem real, and anything to do with the
medieval times was enough to arouse my
interest and imagination. there were times when
i imagined myself to be a character in the story, and went
along with the other characters in a storyline thought up by myself.
other times i immersed myself totally into the stories, and started to act them out (when no one was watching of course). it was to be a fascination that would last for a very long time.

the four novels which had left the deepest impact on me are all series. the lord of the rings, the belgariad and mallorean series, the chronicles of narnia, and last but not least, harry potter.

and behold! for the power of fantasy is strong, and thou art but a weakling, forasmuch as thou wilt struggle in thy folly and vain with its treacherous onslaughts, thou shalt fall till the end of time, till the world is but a piece of darkness and lost hope...

conjuring up the four greatest treasures of all time...
lord of the rings :: belgariad and mallorean :: narnia :: harry potter
