| PEST CONTROL In Indonesia, thousands of students poured into the streets, through the gates of their university, in a non-violent protest, demanding 'power to the people' and 'moral reform' to the corrupt authoritarian government. In response, the government police with tear gas, clubs and guns opened fire, killing sixteen and wounding dozens. Meanwhile, on the other side of the planet, somewhere in North America, a man stood on his green manicured lawn spraying pesticides on a patch of dandelions, thinking to himself, "damn these obnoxious weeds, I'll kill them before they can spread their seeds".
