ATTN: High School Text pilferers.
I just went through the section of my home bookshelf that is occupied by theatre books and scripts. I ended up finding 4 high school Shakespeare texts!! 2 of which are copies of Romeo and Juliet! Isn't that awful?
Well I've decided that I am going to register them, and send them back to where they belong. I have a beautiful copy of "Shakespeare's Complete" that was printed in 1926, so I need hold on to them no longer!! :D
I tried this with a novel already, that I had since JUNior high. Here is the link if you'd like to check it out:
The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton. It hasn't been journaled yet, but I'm crossing my fingers. I'll be a little more subtle with these as I am with regular wild releases, and just write on a page inside "This book has friends. Say Hello at www.bookcrossing.com BCID:___". So Whaddya say? Who wants to fess up with me? I know there's more of ya out there!
I CHALLENGE YOU to finally take back those books that you have had for so many years. It will really make you feel good! :)
--In my defense, only one of those books haas my name on it, and one is from a school I didn't even go to, so I don't know why I am in possesion of all of them.--On the other hand, I still have 2 junior high readers that I have been keeping to actually read all the way through. ...I'm not quite ready to give those back yet... :o *shaking head* Oh day-zee. You're dispicable.
see original thread and some funny responses here
These are the books I returned for the challenge:
Romeo and Juliet,
Othello,
Hamlet,
and the second copy of Romeo and Juliet.
Later on, I ended up finding a brand new copy of that reader I had from Junior-High,
so I returned that one as well.
Strawberries and Other Secrets.
Ahh.... Now day-zee has a clear concience. ;)
