| IN THE PRESS // CLICK TO RETURN TO IN THE PRESS MENU THESE UP AND COMING BANDS HAVE FRIENDS AT THE BAR REVIEW: DAYTURA AND AMELIA AT SUFFOLK COLLEGE The bar at Suffolk College is not that well frequented on a Thursday evening, apparently, but last night a more than respectable crowd turned up to cheer on some local newcomers and one of Britain's up and coming talents. Ipswich's Daytura came on stage and cranked into a variety of well-known songs, ranging from Radiohead to the Sex Pistols via the Manic Street Preachers. Overcoming the odd technical difficulty (like remembering the words to Anarchy In The UK) the five-piece won alot of friends in a very short space of time. EVENING STAR, FRIDAY 10 DECEMBER 1999 |
