The Mountain Dulcimer Society of Dayton sponsors a yearly workshop afternoon in November. 

Workshop Date:  November 7, 2009   

This workshop day is designed to improve your playing skills on the mountain dulcimer, hammered dulcimer or autoharp.  There are sessions ranging from touching either dulcimer for the first time to sessions for the accomplished player. 

• There will be mountain dulcimer sessions for ...
  
  1)  beginners and past beginners
  2)  early intermediates
  3)  intermediates & above players
   

• There will be hammered dulcimer sessions for ...
  
  1) beginners and past beginners
  2) intermediates
  
   

• There will be autoharp sessions.

• All workshops are presented by MDSD members.
  

• There will be two 75 minute afternoon sessions.
  

• There will be some loaner instruments available.
  

• There is no charge for MDSD members.  There is a $5 charge for nonmembers.
  

• There will be an Open Stage for participants after the workshops are over.
  

• There will be a carry-in dinner (MDSD Board members will provide their favorite soup.) after the open stage and before the Jam.
   

• There will be the annual MDSD organization meeting including election of officers.
  

• There will be the regular MDSD Jam at 7 p.m.
