| 11/7/05 - 3:02 P.M. I've decided to use "Audiology" as a tentative title and the slogan "'Cause Music is Made to be Heard". I have a new concept logo in the top left corner rather than the home indicator I had been using. By the way audiology is actually the study of hearing which I found pretty relevant to the site. My only real problem with it is that I don't want this site to be exclusively music. If you like to draw, paint, take photographs, remix songs, write poetry, or anything else that you'd like put up on here send it in for review. You know... 'cause art is made to be shared. |

I'm
trying to create an actual meaningful name for this project as well as
some good slogans to use as
promotional tools when/if launch time comes. I'm sitting down with a
dictionary and thesaurus to try and find various music / art related
words that might be useful. I'm liking the definition I found for music
to somehow turn into a slogan. It was simply "Sounds that produce
effect", though it reminds me of 77 in October's record title "Sound Effects Added to Lessen
Tragic Impact". I don't know yet but then it's still very
early. I mean this projects only been in the works for about twelve
hours now.
I've got several new ideas for this project to make it stand out against my past mistakes. After I prove to myself that I can keep this thing alive I would like to create a podcast featuring songs and interviews of various indie and local bands. I believe this, with proper exposure, could easily become the main focus of this project. I'll wait and see where this leads me first though and will "test the waters" before investing time and money into a podcast. There are also several other ideas I'd like to try technology and money permitting. Another technology that's readily available is being able to have multiple users attached to one blog (Does anyone like that word?). I'd like to keep one as the news page and have various "Local Correspondents" each reporting an his/her own local scene and the bands in it. This allows me to achieve the one thing I've always visualized... a community ran site. I want multiple ideas to be spread rather than just my own. Bands should be reviewed by people that like the type of music they play rather than just the person who happens to know the password to the site. I'm sure this will be the very first thing started once a name has been decided upon. Maybe I can finally achieve the type of for the people, by the people site I've always envisioned. |

Hello, I'm
David. Some of you might
know me as the person behind the failed sites "NineZine" and "Idiot Box
Promotions". Both of those sites were created under the
assumption that they would be ran by an entire team of people but as
time went on enthusiasm wavered and the teams fell apart as various
issues started to consume more and more of our time. This time I'm
doing it alone from the start with no intention of trying to manage
as much information as the previous sites aspired to. I also plan to
give this site a much needed "incubation period" to fine tune it's
purpose and to assure that it'll get a better start than previous
sites. I don't plan on officially launching this site until late Spring
/ early Summer 2006. I'm currently attending college classes on web
design and plan on applying what I learn to this site and using this to
learn how to "do it right". These first few months will mostly consist
of information and idea gathering followed by some serious project
visualization instead of hard coding or even using software to build
sites. I've created this basic homepage to act as a progress log /
placeholder while this is all going on.
