Philippians
2:13-18 – for it is God who works in you to will and to act according
to his good purpose. Do everything without complaining or
arguing, so that you
may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in
a crooked
and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the
universe as you
hold out the word of life – in order that I may boast on the day
of Christ that
I
did not run or labor for nothing. But even if I am being poured out like a
drink
offering on the sacrifice and service coming from your
faith, I am glad and
rejoice with all of you. So you too should be glad and
rejoice with me.
2
Timothy 1:7 – For God did not give us a spirit of timidity,
but a spirit of power, or love and of self-discipline.
2
Peter 1:5-9 – For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith
goodness;
and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and
to self-control,
perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to
godliness, brotherly kindness;
and to brotherly kindness love. For if you possess these
qualities in increasing measure,
they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in
your knowledge of our
Lord
Jesus Christ. But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind,
and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins.

Isaiah
42:6-7 – I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness;
I
will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make
you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the
Gentiles,
to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and
to
release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.
