Tempests

We'll sail on darkened seas and moonless nights
Though tempests toss and winds full gale do blow,
As if provoked by sacrificial rites
That lead us on and beckon us to go
And though the tempest causes much alarm,
We can not bend or bow unto the fear
For faith alone will save us from all harm
And where we'll head is still an unknown yet,
Or how or why we'll undertake the trip.
The time is now and once our sails are set
With words of joy and hope upon our lip
Then onward we will go until the morn
When old days die and our new life is born.
