I Should Have Stayed HomeSeptember 8th, 2000 |

My beloved Cutlass Cierra.
|
At 2:05 pm today, I was going home from work, driving down Route 20 in Marlborough, MA. As I approached one of the patented dangerous intersections in Marlborough (A step lower in risk than the Dunkin' Donuts intersections in town) a police car with its sirens and flashers on, turned across the lane in front of me and the car directly in front of me.
|
| Since drivers turning across oncoming traffic lanes is
a totally normal occurance in MA, we were able to stop and wait for the
police car to turn.
|
Makes night driving difficult.
|
|
Next, in a matter of about 2 seconds, The car in front of me and I both started driving through the intersection when off to our side from the other direction comes an Ambulance and Fire Marshall SUV with sirens and flashers going. |
| I turned my head to see the vehicles come flying out of nowhere, when I slam into the car in front of me, who had jammed his breaks as soon as he heard the sound. |
The Missing Pieces.

In a State of Disbelief.
|
We exchange info and I drive home wishing
I had stayed in bed (I also wish I had more than liability coverage).
Oh Well, such is life. My life especially. |
| Update: For a grand total of 160 dollars and 2-3 hours of my time, my car is now as good as (ahem) new.
