A man who was ever so  innocent was praying,
Was taken away and accused of crime he did not do.

Guilty of no crime he was thrown in jail,
Beat upon and tortured.

A man so perfect and so pure was forced to carry a cross,
Beaten until his bones shown through.

While he was layed out to be nailed on a cross,
He had you on his mind.

You and how much he loved you,
How much he wanted you to be with Him in Heaven.

He was mocked,
He was killed.

He did this for you,
For your sin.

He died so that we might live,
And live without having to be nailed to a cross.

We now walk and breathe because of what he did,
He took three nails and a cross and thorns for you.

He loved you so much it killed Him.
