| I I was living as a tennant in my friends house in Helsinki. One night I woke up at night and needed to use the bathroom. I stepped out of my room, wich was besides livingroom and as I was returning, I saw a gray figure of a man in the dark walking towards me from the livingroom. Since my friends boyfriend was staying over and they were sleeping in my friends bedroom, right the opposite of my room, I had no fear. I almost giggled since I thought it was my friends man trying to scare me, and now it was going to be me scaring him by reaching his arm just as soon as he would be next to me. At that moment I did grab him but... He vanished. I grabbed at nothing, just thin air. I was a bit astonished and was going to go back to sleep. When I reached the door I saw shadowy figure on the wall with arms streched sliding toward the door and it jumped "at me" when I was entering the doorway. I screamed very loud and my friends woke up and wanted to know what was it I was screaming about. I told just that I had been "frighten over nothing in the dark" and we went back to sleep. I didn` get much sleep untill daylight was breaking the darkness. But that wasn`t all. My friend did study near Rovaniemi and I was alone in the apartment a lot. I did later on have some animals to accompany me (two cats and a dog) wich I guess in the way soothed the situation. It seemed absurd to be afraid in the second floor apartment of solid concrete with all the doors and windows closed but phenomenon took another approach wich was sound of a man talking in my friends bedroom and stomping sounds wich ended precisely as I entered the room and switched on the light, so it wasn`t coming from our neighbors. I was ever so scared and once again I stayed up all night waiting for morning to come. Later I asked my friend if she had ever noticed anything unusual in that apartment. She suddenly shook up and said: "So you have seen it too, the man who appears to stand in my bedroom corner and then vanishes. I once was allready calling the police while figure disappeared as she was watching it do so. I am still convinced that the apartment was haunted. |
