Dawn of Extinction is a script for the fourth Jurassic Park. In the
beginning, it may seem just like another adaptation of TLW novel, and in ways
it is, but it's also so much more.

Is it such a bad thing if it borrows from TLW novel? There were so many
sequences from TLW novel that were never used in any of the films, and DoE
really managed to take those parts and make them it's own. Adding it's own
special feel to the already cool scenes.

The story begins with dinosaurs attacking people in Costa Rica. One thing
leads to another and Malcolm finds himself in the jungles of Costa Rica,
along with Levine, Thorne and a few other characters, some original some from
the novels. In the jungle they find dinosaurs, and as always something goes
wrong.

For a script, a lot of emotion was poured into some of the characters.
Malcolm and Levine stand out in my mind. While Thorne, his girlfriend and
little brother also had their own little personalities. Some of the
characters seemed to only be included for dino meat, but I guess that's okay.
It is a JP story after all.

It includes some of the best action scenes I've ever read in a
script. They also had some very interesting twists, including an unexpected
death and a unique idea about Biosyn and InGen's relationship.

I've always wanted to see certain scenes like the raptors attacking the shed
scene of TLW novel. And they wrote the script version of the scene
masterfully. It totally captured the fear and isolation of the humans as they
fought to survive.

And never since the original JP have I been more satisfied with an ending to
a JP film. The ending in DoE is not only smart and well written, but the
climatic action before the end is so spectacular, that I just had to applaud.

A good story, with good characters,  a good ending, and awesome action. DoE
is the total package!

Story:  One of the better plots for a JP story that I've seen in a long
while. Borrowing from TLW novel and making the best of it. A true wonder!
Rating: A

Action:  Nothing short of spectacular.  Rating: A+

Descriptions:  It didn't bore you with the details, but it told you enough to
keep you out of the dark.  Rating: B+

Dialogue:  Good for certain characters, but others seemed a little stale. But
overall is was quite good.  Rating: B+

Overall: This is one of the most worthy JP stories I've seen in a long time.
Superb action, cool characters, and an awesome ending to boot! Definitely
worth a look.  Rating: A

Ending Thoughts: I wanna see this in the theaters!

i've just been reading your "dawn of extinction jp4" script, and i was extremely impressed. i was a bit disappointed when you decided not to use lewis dodgson at all, but it is a wicked idea for a story, and i love your extras, and i reckon that your soundtrack would be wicked if it was to ever come out. i also like your casting. well done lads, keep it on the web, 'cos i wouldn't be suprised if spielberg knocks on your door to talk about using it!
