Created by Joseph Michael Linsner, Dawn is the personification of the cycle of birth, life, death, and rebirth. She was originally the silent ringmaster who introduced various stories that weaved their way through Linsner's comics. Eventually, however, she gained a loyal following of fans and finally, a voice of her own. Now Dawn is one of the most popular female characters in comic books today, and her popularity only seems to be growing. As if to prove just how unique and recognizable Dawn actually was, Dragon*Con held its first of several annual Dawn Look-A-Like Contests in 1998. Literally hundreds of women (and a few men) have since brought their interpretations of Linsner's goddess to life. These pages are dedicated to Dawn, and to Dragon*Con's contest, of which, in past years, I have been a delighted participant. Please feel free to browse these pages and learn of the Goddess's many faces.
