| Location: Blackstone Weyr | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| IMPRESSED GREEN DYRANUTH | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Relatives/Family: son of Loth and Gold rider Tigela, brother of Vaughn, cousins cousins cousins | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Physical Description: 5'10", 160, built more husky than most Blackstones, though still tall and impressive. White skin, hair that is white with black streaks and always getting into his eyes, past shoulder length, pale green eyes. His eyebrows are a feature most women would die for. He has a sharper nose than most Blackstones, and a wider face. He has a good singing voice, but got into the scribner side because it meant he could more observe than act. He wears pleasant and soft clothing, likes to look relaxed, however when he wants to impress he dresses the part with snug leggings and tunics that don't exactly cover. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Emotional/Mental Description: quiet and subdued, always appears to be thinking about something. Always is. Has a sense of humor about him that often involves bitter sarcasm and cynicism, however he enjoys a good loud joke telling session as much as the next guy. He is openly attracted to men as well as women, and makes a point to look good at gathers for both. He takes no nonsense from anyone but family, and for them he will do nearly anything. He will find tasks for himself if none are given, to keep from being bored. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Skills: He is a good administrator, able to tell the politics from the actual needs of a place. He usually gets things through regardless of who pesters him or blocks his way, meaning in the Hold he has more sway because he is a Blackstone than people give him credit for. He can do higher math than most. He is excellent at short-range thrown weaponry, such as throwing knives or bolos, and does hunt often enough to make a difference around the Weyr. He normally trades food in the kitchen and furs in the tanner for other products they can get him, as he has no need for trading equal value items. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Pets/Hobbies/Posessions: Like most of his family, he has no interest in keeping pets. He will devote that kind of energy to his lifemate and partners. One of his hobbies is to gather information on someone, keep it filed away, and use it later as blackmail. He is very good at this. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| History: first born son of Tigela, when she was still quite young. He and his brother are not particularly close, though Tighe has saved his butt on occasion. Began his harper training early, and could easily pass into the Journeyman status but he does not really wish to journey anywhere. Once he Impresses, he figures, he will have enough of a chance to spread his knowledge and will walk the tables then. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Notes and Special Information: he is one of the less psionically active members of the Blackstone family, but he still has an ability with people that rivals even Engell and Etan. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| If Tighe Impresses, he will elide his name to Ti'e, pronounced Tye. He is certainly fit for duty on any dragon, but his indulgant and exotic personal tastes run him quite closer to the greens than anything else. He certainly wouldn't mind flying a green, as he's seen quite a lot of healthy, handsome blue and brown riders out there who he'd just as easily seduce even without a dragon. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Whoever said that Dawnlight Hold was boring this time of year was mad. There are so many things to watch... So many people doing such stupid things. Take that Deon fellow for instance. He's convinced that because I grew up in a Weyr I am a typical boor. This coming from the man who slobbers at the sight of his best friend's son. Not that I'm making any value judgements. Damian is a fine young lad. He'll be competition some day for nearly anything I can think of. So I just have to get there first. Get to the dragons first, fly the right mating flight, and simply out do the boy so he can't take over Blackstone if he does wind up here. Sorry. That's me being paranoid. Someone in this family of dreamers has to be. Father and my uncles think there is never going to be a time when Blackstone is threatened by outsiders. But they've never been around Dawnlight when the Lords are consipiring against Blackstone. Shard's family and ours have always been close, and now that the Protectorate is up and running I'm sure that he will have something to say about Spencer's takeover attempts. But me? I'm hoping that after all this time in the Weyr, I'll be Impressed to a dragon who will be strong enough to fly beside Shard's Blue Jeremoth, and live up to the expectations of my family. Isn't that what anyone wants to do? A change of venue is a change in color... Cute eh? Why change? Because Talor Cliff Weyr is showing off another fine clutch. Twenty four eggs. I wonder how many girls are clawing at each other right now hoping for that one queen egg. After a short flight out here, it seems likely that I'll stand on their sands, and not at Blackstone's. That suits me fine. Talor's dragons are excellent quality. Not that Blackstone's are worse! I chuckle to myself... Having been here for about three or four days now, it looks like the eggs are doing great. The queen won't let any of the candidates near them, naturally, but that's her way. Some day, we'll probably be paraded around them, allowed to touch them perhaps. At least, that's how it's been done here for a while. Or maybe she won't let us close until the hatching. You never know. I've seen a couple familiar faces around. Riel's daughter, the beautiful Bree for one. I bet that's one girl who wishes for the gold. Her hair would match. There's a guy from Alabaster, too. A harper, like myself. We're both pretty sure that we'll have to be sneaky and show the Holders who's boss when we're flying. I'd never abandon a thread post, of course, but a good fright below would ensure tithing later, wouldn't it? Well, hatching's soon. Going to put this down and practice my flight drills! |

| The hatching was this morning! My hands are still shaking! What could possibly make me, steady and perfect-calm Tighe shake? Well! Let me explain... It wasn't the brown or bronze, nor the green sisters who followed. Not the blue nor his brown brother, nor the green and blue pair that hatched next. And certainly it wasn't because Bree impressed the gold -- though she did look quite perfect out there doing it. It wasn't the bronze who followed her. And it wasn't the brown nor the green who came next. It was this little green girl named Dyranuth who caught my eye and my heart all at once. She came from her shell and she told me, 'I knew you were here for me,' and I've never felt so wanted and loved in all my life. No touch of a human finger or kiss could equal what her new mind felt like on mine. I have been waiting for this all my life. |
