| Ada and Brown Viresth's mating Flight! |

| Why would she like someone else better than you? You are a fine rider, Ada. I know that. "Well, sweetie, it's like this..." Ada hemmed and hawed, and then mentally aimed a little secret information to her brown dragon. That women flying greens don't always like women as mates. Ada snickered at the last flight they'd participated in, which they lost -- but not because of her gender. Because that huge brown from another weyr managed to actually butt Viresth off his wingbeats and distract the two blues in the flight with him falling from the air... "Now, there are other flights to get into. We're headed off to Ryslen. I hear there are some very fine greens, and I think it's time you went and met them." Ryslen is a good place! Aren't there odd dragons there? "Yes, but you're not going to make any of those, are you?" Ada looked seriously at her Talor-bred dragon. His eyes whirled a silly mix of green and yellow. I would if I could. "But there aren't any whites or lights or darks rising there, right now, and that's a relief." Ada snugged down the harness on her dragon's shoulders. "So we're going to see what we can see. And then you can show off." I like doing that! Even though I am small I am very strong! You say so! "And what's better, is that L'ex says so. He thinks you're quite the hardy brown and that is still a fine compliment. You're a great dragon, you know that, Vir?" At that, the dragon lifted his head and bellowed. When they reached Ryslen, they discovered the sign-up charts for the green flights. That is my clutch mate, Varuith! Ada gave the dragon a stern look. "Now, I might be amenable to having a fling with a female rider, but I don't know about mating with your sister..." It is all right, many do it. Don't you like her rider? Ada rolled her eyes. She scanned the next flight, Inyxith. Her rider was known around Talor Cliff, Ada remembered the name. How about her? Oh please, let me go to that flight? We Talor bred dragons like to stick together. Even if she does not want to fly there. I think I would be able to catch her. She is a sleek and snippy green! "Sleek and snippy. I'm sure that Ghari would love to hear you say that." Ada muttered. Then she looked around and wondered if she HAD been there to hear... Fortunately the sharp-willed woman wasn't. But... That might be a very fun flight indeed. So Ada put her dragon's name down on the chart, and had Viresth bespeak to the recordskeeper at Ryslen that they had joined the flight. *** VIRESTH won the flight! Ada and Ghari while not perfect with one another were certainly able to enjoy themselves. Their dragons paired off nicely for a while, and after the hatching (eliciting a number of light and dark dragons) Viresth and Ada bid their weyr mates good bye. All in all, a surprising, great time! *** Viresth and Ada have participated in another flight - at the Healing Den! The Cross Gender flight brought Viresth together with Nuikath, for two eggs, and Ada had a terrific time! |
