Shane Lynch

Born in Dublin on July 3, 1976. The only boy with 6 sisters, Shane was considered the bad boy of Boyzone, though those who met him said he was a big softy and the bad boy image was just an act.

Shane was one of the founders of the group, being the one to go to then manager Louis Walsh with the idea of having an Irish answer to the hit group Take That.

While in Boyzone, Shane got involved with car racing, first trying rally racing, and most recently winning awards for the Eclipse motorsport team in the 2002-2003 seasons.

In 2004, Shane participated in the Channel IV series The Games, competing in olympic-style competition for charity. Shane's participation was also marked by the reunion of Boyzone as a group when the rest of the lads showed up in the audience to cheer him on to victory.
