Boyzone Bios

Keith Duffy

Born October 1, 1974 in Dublin, Keith is the middle son of three boys.

Keith was always known as the rocker of the group, singing such songs as Where Have You Been and Will I Ever See You (Again) while on tour with Boyzone.

When Boyzone went on hiatus, Keith and Shane did a send up single release, which was a cover of the Milli Vanilli song Girl, You Know Its True. But where Keith's career really took off was when he did a charity sting for the BBC's Celebrity Big Brother, which proceeds went to charity. Spending a week in the Big Brother house brought Keith to the attention of the British public, and also to the producers of the hit series Coronation Street. Keith has played the role of Ciaran McCarthy in Corrie since 2002, a rascal who delights in causing trouble for his friends as the barman at the Rover in Emmerdale Coronation Street's Website Keith will be leaving the Corrie cast to pursue other projects, such as the pantomime Wizard of Oz. Keith is also involved with the Irish Autism Action charity, raising money for children with autism, from which his daughter Mia, also suffers.
