Shift

by Evelyn J.Driscoll

Thorns stuck in my side

As I try to hide

The person I used to be

Trying to look, trying to see

The person I want to find

Someone in the back of my mind

Trying so hard to search and look

They read me like an open book

Finding me I look deep within

Spotting a hole filled with sin

Running away, I try to hide

The person that I am inside

Keeping myself a secret

I think Ive finally been hit

Some things are hard to deal with

I look inside myself funny how these feelings shift
