Trip Report: OH maaan...a scantily clad (for Star Trek, anyway) Trip! I'd gladly give him oomox. Once again, I am forced to admit that I am such a nerd for knowing what the hell oomox is.

Just Acquired CDs:
Pop and Zooropa, U2. So far, I've only listened to the first four tracks of Zooropa. My first assessment of it is that is was an interesting experiment and that I'm glad that they got it out of their system so they could get back to making good music.
High The Cure. Wow! It has two mixes of 'High' (imagine that ~ wonder where they got the name for the CD?) and two songs that wasn't on Wish. Whoo hoo!

...and books:
The Dark Side of the Light Chasers Debbie Ford. Turns out, it's a 'how-to' book on how to accept the 'darkness' inside (like anger and such) instead of dishing any dirt. Damn.
Awakening to Zen Roshi Phillip Kapleau. It sounds like it is a good book for explaining to a Westerner what Zen is (well, as much as one can explain it ~ I gather it's somewhat like the Tao. If you can explain what Tao is, it isn't the Tao.) We'll see.

AS THE FIREWOLF'S WORLD TURNS

Can anyone explain to me why I'm so bone tired? Sorry if this entry is disjointed and ragged.

It's crunch week in the Art department ~ judging for the student exhibition is coming up next week and lots of matting; mounting and cussing will be ensuing. I finally found four works that I can enter, maybe five if the 8 minute charcoal drawing I did today cleans up well. That will bring my entry fee to a whopping two dollars and fifty cents. I get to go tomorrow to begin my part in the insanity.

My paper on the definition of love came back today ~ I got a ninety nine. That was the toughest paper I have ever had to write.

The Janitorial Saga continues: I had to make several trips to my truck this morning during class and he was cleaning the windows. He completely stopped what he was doing and said, "I'm watching you!" I just said, "I figured you were." as I went on. He was true to his damn word ~ he watched me walk to my truck and back both times I went out.

This is starting to get damned annoying...and more than a little creepy.

Later, he came in to tell me about the latest CDs he had bought ~ the Beatles; Elvis and '80's Disco' (huh? I thought Disco went out with the 70's.) Mr. Janitor also set about trying to figure out just how old I am by asking, "The Beatles are before your time, aren't they?" I almost screwed up by saying, "When did they break up?" and going on to say that they weren't too far before my time. Sheesh.

I guess I'm just going to have to look him straight in the eyes and ask, "What the f*&$ do you want? Spit it the hell out so I can say no and we can go on our merry ways."

I was going to work on my idea for a tattoo (the stylized kanji for 'fire' and 'wolf') tonight but I don't know if I can keep my eyes open long enough.
