The directory structure of Dawn is:

Dawn
|
|----bin
|----models
|----shaders
|----shaders_ultra
|----textures
|----UserInterface

Unzip the archive in your Dawn Demo \models directory and run it
(it may take a few minutes to complete). After that, there is a
new sub-directory called Obj (Dawn\models\Obj) where the data is
stored. The files are in Wavefront .OBJ format, but you can easily
convert it in any other format with one of the many converters
that you can find on the web (I use 3D exploration, downloadable at:
http://www.righthemisphere.com/3dexploration/
I converted the files in 3DS format then I imported them in 3dsMAX
to assemble the model; then I imported the textures with the .dds
plugin for 3dsMAX (from Nvidia site) and I created the materials
for the meshes. You can see the result on my site. Enjoy!
