Well Campers...I can remember a time before computer viruses! but they have been around now for along time! This has created a multi-billion dollar Anti-Virus market (makes you wonder if viruses werent created just to invent the industry doesnt it?) Anyway most users know enough to get an Anti-Virus program and most computers sold with an Operating System come with one. What I have noticed is the apparent lack by users to update the Virus Deffinition Files or to even RUN the programs occasionally! Many set their Schedulers for late night runs, but turn their computers off before the scheduled event happens. People come on! Get in the habit of checking your system! Keep your files updated and use them regularly! Its your headache if a virus slips by due to YOUR lack of diligence! |

You think i'd leave you out in the cold over a simple matter like MONEY! Puhleese! I have a solution that is not only FREE its completely LEGAL! The wonderful people over at Grisoft have a Great Anti-Virus program called AVG. And its FREE for any single computer. Even the Virus Definition File Updates are FREE! And thats for the LIFE of the program!
I've used Norton, McAffee, PC-Cillan, F-Prot and alot of others and this one is By Far the Best! And its FREE! you cant beat that! It will check your Email, Downloads, harddrives and even let you know if you get a virus when you visit a Webpage! You can go to http://free.grisoft.com and download the AVG FREE EDITION. The AVG control center will notify you automatically when a VDF update is available and you can download it for FREE!

Ok, here again...I got you covered! I've got the NEW fix for both the MyDoom and the NOVARG viruses in one handy little downloadable Zip file! Cynn found these after an extensive and exhausting search and wanted them put on the page just for you guys! Just click on the Icon below, save it to your drive and Extract the files! Now mind you these are only After Infection Fixes! They will NOT prevent you from getting infected. Have to wait for the next VDF update! My advice there...dont open ANY ATTACHMENTS in ANY email...even if you think you know the person sending it to you! I have my Email set so that ANY email with an attachment that has EXE, VBS, SCR or COM is deleted at the email server! Course this is my option, but I recommend it! Rather a friend NOT infect me unknowingly! |

Well what else can I tell you! You have the tools and are armed against these things! You've seen the News storys and heard about what Viruses can do! There are people out there...Idiots who, for God only knows what reasons, are out to cause you as much trouble as possible! They are always inventing ways to screw up your computing life for you! These are the losers and lamers I refer to as PHREAQUERS! They're Intovert Ugly little buggers with no social life, couldnt get laid in a monkey whorehouse with a bag full of banana's, drowing in the shallow end of the gene pool losers who have just enough intelligence to make life miserable for everyone else! DO NOT confuse them with HACKERS!
Granted there are Good and Bad Hackers out there. What we refer to as WhiteHats and BlackHats. BlackHat Hackers are usually out after personal gain or to build a reputation for themselves. Whitehats are the good guys! (course many started out bad!) These are the guys who break into a system because we were told it was difficult or Impossible. We do it to test our mettle! We're after knowledge gang! And while you may not think breaking into a secured system is a good thing, we do it to identify potential problems and NOTIFY the SysAdmins of the flaw...some even make a living doing it! A valuable resource if you ask me!
Yes, I was a Hacker...I was the 5th member of the original C.H.A.O.S. (Computer Hackers After Other Software) 17 years ago! I started out as a bad guy...trying to learn all I could learn...but as things moved to the more Digital mediums I figured out there was no percentage in it and gave it up! I turned to Network Security and advanced in my career! The difference between someone like me and a Phreaquer...I had the testicular fortitude to do a "Righteous Hack!" I never setoff a virus, worm or malignant code...I was better than that! When these little shits can break into a Secured Network thru an Encrypted Firewall using an existing back door, through a Home Written DeCrypting Algorythm, or force their way thru a directory structure using only DOS Debug...then they can call themselves a HACKER! Till then...theyre not worth the Effort! Nuff Said! |
