1984 S-10 |

Here are some pics of my current "work in progress" project, an '84 V8 powered S-10. |

This is what the truck looked like shortly after I bought it. It had cheesy ground effects, a blackened grille with matching headlamp bezels and no filler panel. It also had a set of ICW rims on 235/60/R15 tires. |
|
Since then the grille was replaced, the headlamp bezels were repainted silver and I installed a filler panel and a spoiler. |

The engine is a 350 bored over .030 with a Holley 600 cfm carb, Weiand Action plus intake, Crane cam, stock HEI and stock exaust manifolds. The tranny is a TH350 with a shift kit and stock stall converter delivering power to a set of 3.73 gears. The only driveline mods done so far are a new carb and new u-joints. |

Here's a pic of the interior. When I got the truck, it had the ugly stock steering wheel, cheap ugly cheesy carpet, a cheap B&M floor shifter that didn't even have any saftey features, a cheap Pioneer CD player that didn't work right and cheap aftermarket guages. |

Since then the carpet was removed as well as the radio. The stock steering wheel was replaced with a Grant and the old shifter was replaced with a B&M Z gate. I designed and made a guage panel to hold the water temp and oil guages and installed in where the radio used to be. Also I added an Autometer monster tach to the top of the dash. |

Because someone didn't replace the stock coils springs when they dropped in the V8, it caused the front end to sit so low the lower a-arms would hit the frame whenever you went over a bump. So I went ahead and replaced the stock 4 cylinder coils with the ones used for the 2.8 V6. Now it doesn't bottom out anymore and made it easier to steer. |

Look up.....the headliner was sagging when I bought the truck so I replaced it, doing all the work myself. Pretty good job eh? |

Here's what it looks like as of June 24 2003. I've since added some stripes to the hood and replaced the old billet rims with these draglite racing rims. Also I've since replaced the bench seat with a pair of buckets from a late 80's ex cab S-10. |
