1969 Nova |
This is my '69 Nova that I received as a gift from my parents on June 10, 2000. |

According to the cowl tag, this car was built during the first week of January, 1969. It was originally powered by a 230 cubic inch inline six with a powerglide transmission. The original color was Lime Frost with a cloth bench seat interior. It did not come with power steering, power brakes or air conditioning. |
My dad bought this car from a neighbor in 1990 and restored the car himself to what you see here. A wrecked '71 Nova donated many of the parts used in the restoration. The paint is a '72 Caddillac green and the stripes are modified '70 Yenko stripes. The rims are 15X8 Corvette rallys wrapped in Cooper Cobra tires. |

The engine is a '74 GMC 350 bored .030, with 461 double hump heads, Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum intake, Holley 600 cfm carb, Accell super coil, stock distributor and stock exaust manifolds. The transmission is a rebuilt TH350 with a stock converter and the rear end is a stock 8.2 with a 2.73 gear ratio. The exaust is a 2 1/4 with a Flowmaster 80 series transversial muffler. Power steering was also added. |

Here's another pic of the engine with the chrome air cleaner on. Also note the new master cylinder that my dad and I installed. |

Here's another pic of the interior. As you can see, it's pretty much stock except for the addition of an Autometer tach and Autometer guages in the dash bezel. The stereo is a Kenwood 2007 AM/FM/cassette with two 4 inch mids in the front dash where the AM radio speaker once was and two 6X9's in the rear. |

Here's a pic of the interior. The only things bought new were the headliner and the carpet; everything else is either original or donated from the '71 Nova. |
