What is the difference between coated and uncoated blankets???
The coating on coated blankets prevents the fabric from fraying and unravelling. It also makes it super water-resistant, which is perfect for tarps.
The uncoated blankets may fray, however they provide for a better insulation than the coated blankets because it is thicker. A good use for coated blankets could be to wrap around hot car parts.
