were opened so we drove right on into the driveway. I
then went up to the frontdoor (which was published in
Central PA magazine) and rung the doorbell. it's a
little black button, looks like it's been there for a
while. I was waiting there for a minute or two then I
saw Rocky the grounds keeper come around the corner
from the other side of the house, probably from the
back door. I knew that David was in there because I
actually thought that I heard him talking when I
walked by the window then I heard someone get up and
move around. I think that it was him. anyway, I went
down off the stoop and back down to the driveway to
talk to Rocky. he was really nice to my family and I.
I think that I was talking to him for 15-20 minutes.
I had a backpack in the back seat of the car which I
had packed EVERYTHING that I had wanted to haul around
with me incase it was needed for some reason or
another like maybe if I were to see David out in
Beavertown I could just hand him a flyer for my site
and a few print outs or something. I also had in this
bag his bio, and a couple of pictures, one that a
friend had E-Mailed me to be printed out and the other
one that was one that David's fan club sent me that
wasn't signed. I gave Rocky the print outs and all
the info on the site that I wanted him to give to
David, he seemed interested in what I was doing. he
talked to me a little more and then he ask me if I had
anything in that backpack that I would like signed. I
was just thinking what the heck, im here now and they
are offering so why wait for the show which at this
time was 2 days later and take a chance on that he
wouldn't even do autographs. I gave Rocky the 3 items
and he said that he would take them in. he said to
come back in an hour and pick them up. we went to get
lunch at a place called Theresa's sub shop when we
came back another fan was there, and the gates had
been closed, Rocky was talking to her and waiting for
us to return, he had my things in his hand. we parked
in a grassy area on the other side of the street, we
talked again for about 10-15 minutes, I had my mom
take a picture of me with Rocky, we said goodbye and
left. as for a discription of David's house, it's
just a standard farm house, it's yellow and I was told
that it has 18 rooms. he calls it Spruce Lawn. The
place was getting a paint job when I was there so I
can't be sure what color it is now, probably still
yellow but it was badly needing a new coat of paint.
There was also lots of shrubs, trees and other types
of greenery around the place. He also had a nice
little patch of ground ivy growing on the steps that
come from the driveway to the sidewalk that goes in
front of the house to the front door. I think that
there was also some sort of a vine growing on the side
of the house too.
