My debut CD, |

I've been waiting for this for a long, long time. I spent years looking at my guitar and wishing that something would come to mind, something that would make me want to pick that thing up and play music that meant something to me. A few months ago I picked up that guitar and wrote the music and lyrics to "All I Know," the first song I'd written in over 2 years. Everything seemed to fall into place after that, tunes and verses popping into my mind with alarming regularity. Many were the nights that I stayed up until 3:00 o'clock trying to finish that ONE LINE, just to make it feel perfect and REAL... and I think I may have succeeded. "Home is Where the Heart is..." means a lot to me. It's a very personal, very straight-forward and, most of all, very honest account of what a broken heart can mean to someone. It encapsulates a wide range of emotions... from loss to anger, from resignation to jubilation, somehow always managing to bring some sort of silver lining to the otherwise dark clouds. All of the tracks were recorded in a weekend spent with my good friend Ayrik Wojahn, an aspiring producer from Ann Arbor, in his apartment. The sound is indicative of the personal setting... it genuinely feels like listening to a man alone in his bedroom pouring his heart out to the mirror, wishing that someone were there to listen. I'm proud of the end result..... |
