In the spring of 2000 the full-length album, "Home is Where the Heart Is," was recorded and released. It was a collection of personal and honest accounts of how it feels to experience loss, to experience loneliness and pain, and how to exorcise those demons on one's own personal terms. The songs were cathartic, bringing specific situations and emotions into light and unraveling them to find meaning behind it all.
Now, several months later, the new 5-song EP, "One Step Closer..." is finished. Originally intended to be an addition to the first album, it was decided that the content and sound of the new songs simply made it necessary to keep them separate. The feelings of the first album are intact, keeping the songs emotional and honest, but with a few changes along the way.
While "Home is Where the Heart Is" raised questions of how to handle life alone, "One Step Closer..." examines specific situations, emotions, and outlooks in order to make sense of things. It contains moments of clarity that remind us how it feels to finally figure things out, to put our finger directly on what is ailing us and to correct the problems. The songs make it okay to once again FEEL our way through our lives...
