While we search for the items used by the Native Americans we often come across some strange and unusual stuff. Being rockhounds by nature we drag home various odds and ends. Picutred here are some known and unknown.

These teeth are possibly the strangest thing we have come across. We found 10 teeth, the bottom left 2 seem to be "eye" teeth and have rounded tops.The others are square on the chewing surface which is about 1.5" x 1".These were recovered on a section of beach that is normaly underwater. Some of the teeth have started to crack now that they have dried out, we banded them to keep them intact. UPDATE: Bob at Dirt Brothers had these teeth examined by his expert. They are from ancient Bison and are millennia old. Thanks Bob!! |
