The artifact below is the most unusual piece recovered from the island. We wonder if it may pre-date the Paleo era. It is made from very porous stone and took weeks to completely dry. We don't know if the original composition of the rock has been changed from being under water for thousands of years, or if it was originally made from a light weight stone. Perhaps it was a ceremonial piece. The most impressive feature of this unique artifact is it's massive size.
