I wrote "Happy Birthday to You" the second week of January for
Carli Richards, a very special friend of mine. Her birthday was
over Christmas vacation, and Melanie Wiser asked me one day to
hire Donnie & Pablo to play her a birthday song. That day, I
spent several hours writing the song, and didn't leave my room
until it was done. Donnie & Pablo's performance of this song
was not their best, but somehow, I think it did the trick. Carli,
Melanie, and Anna were all left swooning after the performance.
