My assignment was responsibility for this navy plane, it had my name and rank under the pilot's window.

My position was in the middle seat as a Flight Engineer. I started the engines and handled the throttles & props during flight.  Other responsibilies included transferring fuel & oil, as necessary, to complete our mission.

We transported cargo & personnel as needed.
