STONEMOUNTAIN -- Melvin Malcolm Davis, 69, died Tuesday, Jan. 16 [1990]. |

The funeral was conducted at 3:30 p.m. Thursday from Stone MountainFirstBaptistChurch. The Rev. Larry Meadors officiated. Burial was in Stone Mountain City Cemetery. |
|
|
|
A retired school administrator, Mr. Davis was a member of First Baptist Church in Stone Mountain and was a past chairman of deacons at the church.� He was a member of Stone Mountain Masonic Lodge #449.� Mr. Davis was director of facilities and construction, coordinating construction of DeKalbCollege. |
|
|
|
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary West Davis; two sons, Todd A. Davis and Mel M. Davis, both of Stone Mountain; a daughter, Mrs. Courtney D. Reece of Marietta; three brothers, Inman Davis of Statesboro, Clinton Davis of Evans and Paul Davis of McDonough; three sisters, Mrs. Thelma Powell of Midville, Mrs. Helen Rogers of Swainsboro and Mrs. Peggy Ware of Jacksonville, Fla.; and two grandchildren. |
