The homework assignment for this week is to answer the homework questions for Chapters 2 and 3 in the textbook.
Reminders:
In order to make sure that you get full credit for all homework, please include a heading on each homework with your name, the course number (Soc 321), and the Unit number (Unit 1 homework, Unit 2 homework, etc.).
Your answers should be justified by drawing on material from the chapters, rather than just "yes or no" answers or simplistic opinions, and your answers should be entirely in your own words (no quoting, no copy and paste!)
You should first read the assigned chapters, then copy and paste the homework questions into your word processor and answer the questions (one half to one page for each question), referring back to the book only as needed. Be sure to save your work on the computer where you can find it easily (usually in your My Documents folder). When the homework is finished, email it as an attachment to the professor at the address below. Be sure to put a heading on each homework!
Do not start with the questions and look up the answers without reading the chapters - this leads to low exam scores and low course grades. You need to study and understand the material in order to pass the exams.
