PONDER-OWENS FAMILY MEETING

July 9, 2005

Present:  Darryl, Sue, Bernice, Jean, Aaron, Tawanna

Subject:  Family Reunion Menu and T-shirts

Per Aaron, the family account contains $380 total ($225 Dues/ $155 Taxes).  We are still waiting for several family members to pay their dues, so the monies can be used to purchase menu items for the family reunion picnic.  Money was collected at the meeting.

Darryl discussed the usual menu for bar-be-que dining and it was also suggested we order a tent to protect any senior citizens from the rain and the sun.  Jean suggested we ask Leroy to collect all of the tents he has available to use on August 13th.  Tawanna reminded the group that Leroy has a generator which can be used to power multiple large fans, etc. to cool the outside picnic area.  If it is raining on the 13th, we can set up the tents between Stacey’s and Kevin’s houses(with their permission, of course) and walk between/under them to stay out of the weather/heat.  Additionally, elders and expecting mothers can stay inside the air-conditioned houses for comfort/health issues.  **Rain or Shine the family reunion will be held on August 13, 2005.  A VIP is coming into town specifically for the event.**

The group decided we can purchase food products from Costco and Sam’s.  The menu list is attached to the minutes for your review.

Volunteers will be asked to review the list of menu items and go to Sam’s or Costco to purchase the picnic items in bulk.  When you choose an item, please contact Dorothy(770-957-6777) so she can write your name down next to the item and check it off the Master menu list.  If she is not available, please leave the information on her voice mail system.

Action Item:      Aaron will send out a copy of the current financial statement to all parties.  If a family member wants specific information about the account or what they are expected to pay, they can either come to the family meeting or contact the treasurers.

Action Item:      Sue, Tawanna, and Aaron will meet with Carolyn Mitchell on Monday, July 11, 2005 to discuss the t-shirt design for our first family reunion.  Ms. Mitchell is Sue’s neighbor and has designed t-shirts for various events and numerous groups.  Our three representatives will meet with her to discuss the design, the cost of printing, and the color of the shirt.  Once these factors are decided, we will need to know how many shirts she should produce and the corresponding sizes.

***Please discuss this matter with all of your family members.  We need to know this information at least 15 days before August 13, 2005 so Ms. Mitchell can complete our t-shirt order.***

Please submit your t-shirt size(s) and the number needed for your family to Sue(404-244-1955)  OR  Tawanna(678-468-9068).  Both have a voice mail system to collect your information if they are not personally available.  If you leave a voice mail message, please leave your complete name, telephone number where you can be reached, and the best time for them to contact you in case Sue or Tawanna need additional information about your t-shirt order.

Meeting adjourned by Aaron with prayer.
