Validated Y2K compliance for all systems (WAN, LAN). Developed remediation project plans for migration of non-Y2K compliant platforms and systems. Developed cost analysis for each project. Presented proposals to management both written and orally.

Responsible for troubleshooting and configuring routers, switches, hubs, CSU's, protocol converters and various other internetworking devices for the Network Control Center. Responsible for network performance and reliability of the world’s largest OSPF network consisting of over 5,000+ routers and 100,000+ data circuits.

Troubleshoot and analyzed an assortment of LAN and WAN protocols including TCP/IP, SNA, SDLC, DLSW, LLC BGP, EIGRP, IPX/SPX, RIP, OSPF, PPTP, IPSec, VPN and 802.11q. Worked closely with telcos and an assortment of vendors to diagnose and repair network issues. Troubleshoot an   assortment of circuits and equipment including ISDN, T-1, T-3, OC-12, xDSL, ISDN, frame relay, PPP and 56K circuits as well as 3Com Bay Networks and Cisco hubs, routers, and switches.

Utilized several network management programs including HP Openview, 3Com Transcend, ITO, DEC Hypercom, etc. Utilized Network General HW/SW for protocol analysis and troubleshooting.

Analyzed various segments of Intel's WinWin migration project and proposed solutions to technical and administrative issues. Assisted in automating process for integration with Banyan, Novell, Unix and pre NT 4.0 NOS's. Submitted proposed solutions for WinWin TAC internal organization and infrastructure. Analyzed "copy exactly" and “change management” processes for integral segments of the WinWin migration project (Logistics, Technical Assistance, Client/Server, Engineering, Account Specialists, etc).

Managed San Francisco office MIS department during corporate e-mail migration. Responsibilities included organizing Disaster Recovery Team. Designed San Francisco area migration from MS Windows 3.1 platform to Windows NT 4.0. Organized and helped develop migration of 7 Novell 3.12 servers to NetWare 4.1

Main responsibilities include maintenance of five Novell 3.12 250-user and two Novell 4.1 networks. Account management, hardware and software upgrades including client software, storage management, backup procedures, client training, troubleshooting, data packet analysis, IP address assignment and performance tuning made up most of my responsibilities. This network utilized Lotus cc:Mail as the primary mail client and server environment coexisting with SMTP gateway mail software running on a Sun SPARC station. Palindrome was our network backup software solution.

Responsibilities included administration of the VAX, VMS client installations. Managed static IP addresses for clients and MIS group. Involved in BETA testing Microsoft and Novell's 32-bit NDS client software for both Windows95 and Windows NT.
