Patricia Kosanic BEYER (29 Jun 1945-4 Jun 1978

Olin David “OB” COLLINS: 59, of Davis, passed away Feb. 12 at his home. He was born May 5, 1945, in Philadelphia, a son of the late Olin Shera and Mary R. Kramer Collins.He is survived by his wife, Betty L. Mullenax Collins, a son, Thomas Neil Collins of Petersburg; three daughters, Lisa Ann Collins and Loni Christine Collins, both of Davis, and Mary Elizabeth Collins, of Parsons; a brother, Daniel Lee (and Janice) Collins of Canaan Valley; an aunt, Kathleen Hutton of Umatilla, Fla.; and four grandchildren.“OB” was a coal miner for North Brand and Island Creek mines and he retired from Consol mines. He was a member of the House of Delegates for the West Virginia Legislature representing Tucker and Preston counties for 10 years. He was a member of Thomas Faifax Lodge 174, Scottish Rite and Shriners. He was past worthy patron of Eastern Star, a member of the National Speleological Society, FOE 936, DVFD and an honorary member of the Mt. Grove VFD. He was a volunteer reader at DTEMS, a parent volunteer for the Canaan-Timberline Ski Team, a 4-H leader for Mt. Top Cardinals and a former ski instructor at Weiss Knob and Canaan Valley ski areas. At the request of the deceased his remains were cremated. A memorial service will be held at Hinkle Funeral Chapel on Feb. 26 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Fred Soltow and John Cooper officiating. John LAWRENCE: Graduated from WVU in 1968 with a B.S. degree in Physical Education and Biological Sciences and M.S. degree in Natural Science in 1978. My first teaching position (1968-1969) was teaching Junior High Science at Mountaineer Jouior High School. I replaced Mr. Earnest Knaggs after he retired. The summer of '69 Beverly LOSH (Class of 67, and see her Bio) and I married and moved to Wyoming. We lived in Wyoming for 31 years. First, east of the Big Horn Mountains in a small community (150 people) called Clearmont for six years. It was here that our two girls were born. Beth, our oldest graduated from University of Wyoming and is now an occupational therapist in St. Louis. She well get married fall of 2002. Kara also graduated from the University of Wyoming and is presently a second grade teacher and cheer coach for Littleton School District, which is a suburb of Denver. Her husband is general mananger of a Blackeyed-Pea Restaurant. They have two children, Olivia and Dawson. In 1975 we moved to Thermopolis, WY, where we spent 25 years. I worked in this great community (pop. 4000) as a 7th grade math teacher and the last 12 years as an elementary principal. In 2000, we moved to Colorado springs to be nearer our grandkids. Presently I am an elementary principal of a growing area just east of Colorado Springs. Any spare time is spent with family, fly fishing, and racquetball. Still own my home on Kent Ave. in Davis and hope when I finally retire will be able to spend some time there.
Joe MASSI: Been married since 1968 to Sara formerly from Hinton, WV. Met in DC area in 1968. We lived in MD, WV, TX, and now NC. We have four children and three are married with children. We have four grandhchildren and three on the way. I am in sales and marketing with a company called Mega Star a division of Remstar International (megastarsystems.com). Sara is math teacher at Providence High School in south Charlotte.
