Anthony Wayne MULLENAX: 64, of Salisbury, N.C., died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006, at home. He was born Aug. 24, 1942, in Baltimore, Md., a son of the late William Benny Mullenax and Susie Martin Mullenax. Survivors include his wife Gail Thomason Mullenax, whom he married Feb. 15, 1970; sons Eric and wife Dawn, Anthony W. Jr. and wife Dorothy and Jeffrey Mullenax, all of Salisbury, N.C.; two daughters Jeanette Mullenax Nichols and companion Ron of Ranson, and Anita Mullenax and companion William of Salisbury, N.C.; two sisters Edith Allman of Davis, and Alice M. Morgan of Reading, Pa.; seven grandchildren Ray Spry, Glenn Mullenax, T.J. Thompson, Genie Marie Mullenax-Nichols, Jessica Nichols, Cody McDowell and Amber McDowell; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by four brothers Alfred and Lester Hartley and Walter and Gene Mullenax; and two sisters Tottie Mullenax and Goldie Evans. He graduated from Mountaineer High School in Thomas. He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam and Korean wars. He retired from Permaflex Rubber in April of 2006. A member of Bethel Lutheran Church, President of Lutheran Men in Missions and Franklin Ellis Lions Club. Friends will be received on Wednesday, Sept. 27 from 7-8:30 p.m. at Lyerly Funeral Home. Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 28 at Bethel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Carroll Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at Church Cemetery with Military Honors. Memorials may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church, 355 E. Ridge Road, Salisbury, N.C. 28147; or ALS Association, 27001 Agoura Road, Suite 150, Calabasas Hills, Ca. 91301-5104. Carol Jean (PARSONS) SMITH: 64, of Eastlake, a homemaker, were held at Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake. Mrs. Smith died April 27, at home surrounded by her family. She was born Feb.1 4, 1943 in Benbush. She had lived in Eastlake for the past 44 years. She was very devoted to her faith as a born again Christian. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening and shopping. Mrs. Smith was the former owner of T.J.'s Lakeview restaurant in Willowick. Survivors include her husband of 46 years Raymond L., "Bill" Smith; children William (Karen) Smith; Stacey Smith,. Tracy (Tony) Spyridakis, Gregory (Elizabeth) Smith Jr. and Adam (Jennifer) Smith Sr.; grandchildren April Smith, Matthew and Megan Smith, Amanda Spyridakis, Gregory Jr., Ashley and Tyler Smith and Courtney and Adam Smith Jr.; great-grandson Jonathon Slaper; siblings Joan (Glenn) Wilcox, Susan Gilmour, Doug (Kim) Parsons and Deborah (Dean) Burton; and many nieces and nephews. Her parents Clifford and Naomi Parsons are deceased. Friends were received at the funeral home. Burial followed in Willoughby Plains Road Cemetery. (Parsons Advocate 16 May 2007)
Gussie TERRANT: Presently (2002) lives in Manassas, VA. Married to Ed Wilson, they are both retired, and do some extensive traveling.
Nancy STEYER: Lives in Harpers Ferry, WV, and is in her 30th. year as an elementary teacher.
