BIOGRAPHIES

Ed WILSON: Presently (2002) lives in Manassas, VA. He and his wife, Gussie Terrant, both are retired, and do extensive traveling.

Gail R. JOHNSON: Gail R. Johnson, 67, of Alliance, Ohio died on Sunday, March 16,  at home. He was born on December 1, 1940 in Douglas, and lived in Alliance most of his adult life. A graduate of Mountaineer High School in Thomas, he retired from the manufacturing industry, sales & shipping department, in 2004.  Mr. Johnson was a member of the First Christian Church in Minerva. He is survived by three sons, Shawn M. (Jane) Johnson of Columbus, Ohio, Shan M. Johnson of Lisbon, Ohio and Scot M. Johnson of Alliance, Ohio; four grandchildren, Scot Dale, Emma Jane, Jenna Loraine, and Abigail Elizabeth; five sisters, Mildred (Floyd) Davis of Thomas, Winnie (Gary) Gibbs of Marietta, Ga., Sharon (Wallace) Hancock of Lugoff, S.C., Elizabeth (Dale) Kennedy of Fairmont, and Margaret (Don) Fowler of Greenville, S.C.; two brothers, Fred Johnson of Thomas and Robert Johnson of Owings, Md.; three sisters-in-law, Renata Quattro of Parkersburg, Wanda Johnson of Dunkirk, Md. and Ellen Viars of Accokeek, Md.; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Frederick and Ruth (Long) Johnson, Sr.; and three brothers, Thomas Allen Johnson, twin brother, Dale D. Johnson and Harvey James Johnson. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 19, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, March 20 at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Ralph Norman of the First Christian Church in Minerva, officiating.  Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church, 300 W. Hiram Frank "PI" LOUGHRY-63, of Thomas, died 30 Mar 2004, at Davis Memorial Hospital. He was born 20 Jun 1940, in St. George, s/o Hiram frank Loughry Sr. and Della Faye Knight Loughry. He was survived by his wife, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was member of the Twin City Fellowship Church in Thomas. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Thomas. (Obit. Parsons Advocate)

Wilda Wolford MASSI: Married Thomas O. MASSI, Jr., she was Director of Pupil Services for the Boardd of Education, Garrett Co., MD. She taught in the Garrett County Schools for 30 years. She served as principal of Northern Middle School and vice principal of Southern Middle School. She was past president of Delta Kappa Gamma. She was member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Oakland. She is survived by her husband, and one daughter. Burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Thomas, WV. (Obit: Cumberland Times, 15 Jul 1999)

Nancy Smith JOHNSON: Graduated Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC 1959-1962; worked WHC 1962 to Feb 1964; Garrett Mem., Oakland, MD, 1964, Fairfax Hospital, Falls Church VA, 1964-1970. Married Robert L. JOHNSON, Apr 1966 (still happily married 37 years later). Children: Cathy 35, an English Teacher; Rob 33, DEA Agent; Julie 28, Psycholigist; 3 grandchildren thus far. Worked Franklin Mem., Rocky Mt., VA, 1971-2003. Richard retired 5/03, moved to Ferrum, VA, in the heart of the Blue Ridge in 1971, enjoy gardening. Own a 100 yr. house on 16 acres. Bob retired as a U.S. Marshall; enjoys motorcycle and grandchildren. Bob went to seminary and is an ordained minister.
