Anita Louise Sutton FRIEND: 64, of Thomas, d. 8 Oct 2004; b. 17 Feb 1940, in Thomas, d/o Charles Lee and Catherine Louise (Phillips) Sutton; survived by her husband, Dick Friend, whom she m. May 31, 1959; three sons, Ed (and Amy) Friend of Disputanta, Va., Andy (and Reatha) Friend of New Creek and Billy (and Jennifer) Friend of Davis; one daughter, Cathy (and Scott) Batt of Morgantown; three brothers, Charles Sutton of Arlington, Va., Donnie W. Sutton of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Thomas C. Sutton of Elkins; two sisters, Debbie (and Tom) Cook of Thomas and Ginny Sacco of Kenville, N.J.; and eight grandchildren; She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Hannah R. Friend. She was a homemaker and a Protestant by faith. . Interment followed in the Davis Cemetery. (Obit: Parsons Advocate 13 Oct 2004)

Nursing Home, Petersburg, b. 2 Feb 1910, at Phillipi, d/o Dellett Monroe GILMER adn Molly Matilda Burley GILMER; survivors: Charles R. and Carmen, Detroit, MI; Michael and Terry L., Petersburg; dau. Joanne V. (and Robert) HART, Petersburg; bro. Bill Picard and Jim Picard, Bethel Park PA; sisters, Mary V. STILLEY, Champman; Betty E. SHULTZ, and Margaet V. YONISH, Bethel Park, PA, and Helen L TELNICH, Library, PA; 9 gnchildren; 22 gr-gnchildren; preceded in death by husband, Charles Vernon SHRADER, 21 De c1970; she was cook for a number of years at Thomas Elementry and High School; a lifelong member of Thomas Methodist Church. Burial Rose Hill Cem., Thoams. (Parsons Advocate, 1005).
Frances R. Loscar URQUHART:
Married, two children, Lorraine (Lori) and Donald, and two step children,
Lisa and Michael. I have been working since graduation from high school in
the Washington, DC area, mostly northern Virginia. Employed as Corporate
Security Manager for a technical consulting firm called Whitney, Bradley &
Brown, Inc., Vienna, VA. Daughter Lorraine is a journalist working for
Business Week - her byline is Lorraine Woellert. Son Donald is a land
surveyor. Daughter Lisa is a stay-at-home mom to our granddaughter Meagan
age 7 but works part-time as a substitute teacher. Michael gave us our
first granddaughter, Cristina, now 9 years old. Lorraine is married but no
children, Donald is single. Both live in the northern Virginia area. Lisa
and Michael are in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Retirement plans are in
the near future - South Carolina is our destination. My hobbies are
decorative painting, computer photography and creating greeting cards. Also
love to bake.
