BIOGRAPHIES

Dale Walton MORROW: U. S. Navy Musician to 1958; Coca Cola Co., to 1963; Graduated Frostburg State College 1967 (worked Island Creek Coal Co., summers); masters degree Shippensburg State 1972; taught elementary school in Accident MD, Washington Co., MD, Ralls Co., MO, and after 33 years retired from Anne Arundel Co., MD 2000; Assistant Manager Auntie Anne's Pretzel 2001; working part time with RGIS Inventory Specialists 2002; married twice, 4 children, 3 grandchildren. Reside Severn, MD. Published 12 genealogical books on Washington Co., MD, and Berkeley and Jefferson Counties, WV. Hobbies: Genealogy, Web Design (my genealogies), fishing, backpacking, little hunting.

Mary Barbara Meyer HEISLEY: Mary Barbara Meyer attended Washington School for Secretaries after graduation. Her career was with Southern Railway. When she left Southern in the late '60s she was working for the Vice-President of the Company. In 1962 Barbara married Stephen Heisley and in 1972 they adopted their only child, Andrew. At the time of her death, she and Steve had been married 25 years.

Jasper P. MYERS: US Army 1958-1961, Germany 1959-1961. I worked in the dairy business as a sales & marketing director in Fl. I am now retired. I have been married to my wife, Ruth for 43 years, whom I met in Detroit, Mich. I lived in Detroit from 1955-1973, and worked for Gunn Dairies there until 1973. I have four children, & eight grandchildren including two sets of twins. All of my children live in Fl., close by. Hobbies are collectable cars, internet junkie, travel, some fishing. Pets, cats rule, have two Himalayns.

William ROBY: I moved to the Washington, DC, area in 1959. I retired from Security Storage Company (United Van Lines) as Manager of Operations in 2000, and moved to Oakland, MD. I married the former Lucretia (Sis) SCOTT (see Mountaineer H.S.Class 1957) in 1957. We have 5 children, 3 boys and 2 girls, and 9 grandchildren. I spend my time fishing the Youghoghiony River and working around the house and in the yard.

Donald SHURE: Donald 'Zeke' Shure, 70, d. 24 May 20007, at Sprinfield Health and rehabilitation Center, following a lengthy illness. He was b. 1 Apr 1937, in Davis, WV, s/o Lawrence and Mary KOMOSKI SHURE. He graduated from Davis High School in 1955, where he was an avid athlete. He later served as a football and basketball school sports official in Davis and was a past president of the Lions Club in Davis. In Aug. 1975, he m. Katherine J. TOLE in Springfield, who preceded him in death in 2005. He was employed by the local telephone company in WV and later worked for Contel Telephone in Springfield, retiring after 26 years of service. He was a member of the Springfield Elks Lodge #1560 and the Springfield Moose #679. He is survived by one son, two daughters, a stepson, five grandsons and a niece, and one brother, William of Salida, CO. (email from Bill Burger)
