BIOGRAPHIES

William H. ARNOLD-age 79, d. 8 May 2003, Glandorf, OH. He is survived by one son. He was a science and chemistry teacher for Fairmount West Schools in Kettering. He taught for 32 years. He was president and founder of the Science Education Council of OH. He graduated from WVU, and received a mister's degree from Antioch College. He as a WWII Navy Veteran. Burial in OH. (Obit. Robert Lee IDEN:died 27 Feb 2003, at Hope Hospice. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, having served in WW II, and retired after 25 years as Manager of Printing Service at WVU. He is survived by his wife, two sons, six grandchildrne, four great-grandchildren, and a brother. He was preceded in death by sisters, Audra, Josie, and Nellie, three brothers, Irvin, Marvin, and C. James Patrick Pell: 84, of Davis went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 20. He was born Sept. 14, 1922, at Davis, the son of the late Charles Pell and Marie Ingram Pell.  He was twice married, first, to Betty M. Pell and next to Caroline Kosko Pell, who survives. He is survived by one son, Patrick and Mary Pell of Sheet, Md.; three daughters, Linda Childer of Orlando, Fla., Teckla and John Keen of Weirton and Victoria and Gary Bara of Weirton; one brother, Weider (Web) Pell of Okeechabee, Fla.; five stepchildren, LeighAnn Tallman of Manchester, Mich., Janice Brzezinski of Rochester Hill, Mich., Jon Tallman of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, Mary Lou Kosko of Iraq, and George Kosko of Columbus, Ohio; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother William Pell. Pat was a veteran of WWII where he served overseas with the 27th Infantry Division in Okinawa for 10 months. He was wounded on Okinawa in April 1945. He loaded aimed and fired the rifle at enemy personnel and other enemy targets of his own discretion. He had knowledge of all hand weapons, including bayonet, hand grenade and trench knife. He also fired bazooka and rifle grenades. Mr. Pell retired as a maintenance man from Madonna Catholic High School at Weirton. Pat was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 2010 in Thomas. Pat was also a member of the American Legion Post of Weirton. Pat was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2010 in Thomas, was a member of the American Legion Post of Weirton and was also a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church of Thomas. At the request of the deceased, he was cremated. Friends will be received at Hinkle Funeral Chapel on Friday, May 25 from 7 to 9 p.m.  Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Mass will be celebrated From St. Thomas Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 26, with Father Timothy Grassi officiating. Interment will follow in Davis Cemetery. Hinkle Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. (Parsons Advocate 23 May 2007)
