Katherine Grace “Kay” Crawford IDEN: 88, of Buckhannon, died Feb. 12 at her home. She was born March 22, 1916, at Davis, a daughter of the late Dr. A.R. and Grace Markle Crawford. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Rexroad and Marie Manley, of Buckhannon; a son, John (and Rose) Iden of Hagerstown, Md.; five granddaughters, Stephenie Rexroad and Ann Manley both of Buckhannon, Jennifer Rexroad (and Jack Kort) of Gaithersburg, Md. and Barbara Jane (and Rob) Snyder, of Potomac, Md., and Mary Kay Iden of Hagerstown, Md.; two grandsons, Bob Manley of Buckhannon and Tim Rexroad of Annandale, two great-granddaughters, Katherine “Fei Fei” Rexroad and Stephenie “Mai Mai” Rexroad both of Buckhannon; a great-grandson, William Nathan Rexroad-Snyder of Potomac, Md.; a sister, Anna Wray Seaver of Ft. Worth, Texas; and several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband C. Fred Iden. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Buckhannon. She was a 50-year member of Chapter 18 Order of Eastern Star. She was one of the founding members of the Buckhannon Welcome Club and a former member of Buckhannon Women’s Club. Friends were received at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home, of Buckhannon on Feb. 15. Buckhannon Chapter 18 Order Eastern Star held a memorial service on Feb. 15 at 8 p.m. Funeral services will be from the funeral home on Wednesday Feb. 16 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. John Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Heavner Cemetery, Buckhannon. (Obit: Parsons Advocate 5 Mar 2005)
Ethel M. EFFLAND: She was a secretary for a construction company,
d. 12 Feb 2002, in Greentown, IN, buried Davis Cemetery, Davis, WV. She was
survived by a son and a daughter. (Obit. Parsons Advocate, 6 Mar 2002)
Stanley Henry HARMAN-born in Harman, WV, 25 Jan 1913, s/o Clarence and
Bertha (Harper) HARMAN. He m. Mary Elizabeth CARWELL. They lived in LaVale, MD.
He was a veteran of WWII. They had one daughter. Stanley d. 21 Sep 1974 in
Cumberland, MD. He buried in Rest Lawn memorial Gardens in MD. (Submitted by

Elizabeth Rohrbaugh WINGFIELD-b. 14 Mar 1917,Davis, d/o Otis Clark and Anna Haldeman Rohrbaugh, d. 26 Dec 2004, Elkins, WV; m. 15 Jul 1938, in Elkins, William Owen Wingfield. Surviviing, two daughters, Priscilla Ann Wingfield Boyer, Huntington, Long Island, NY, and Betsy Jane Wingfield of Manhattan, NY; one grandson David W. Boyer. She graduated from Davis HS, received an associate bachelor's degree in education from D&E, and a master's degree in education from WV Tech. She taught music and social studies for 32 years, at Elkins Jr. HS, Beverly, Helvetia, Alpena, St. Albans, WV,and Akron, OH. She was an organist and member of the Davis Mem. Presbyterian Church at Elkins, and the Riverlawn Presbyterian Church in St. Albans. A talented classical and jazz pianist, she play with jazz bands during college. She was a past president of the woman's club of Elkins, a DAR member, and had been music director for the Mt. State Forest Festival for many years. (Obit: Elkins Intermountain, 30 Dec 2004)
